L'appartement est indéalement situé dans Santo Spirito, quartier hors du flux touristique mais à la fois proche du centre.
Il est très bien équipé et on s'y sent comme chez soi.
Loved this apartment! In a great part of town, not far from the centre, but removed enough to feel more like a local. The apartment itself was gorgeous and really comfortable. We paid extra for air con ($5 per day) which was a godsend during the heatwave. Loved Francesca's restaurant recommendations too! I'd definitely stay here again.
Thanks for a lovely stay in Florence. Francesca wasn't available so we met Rosa who was great. All very smooth, easy to contact. We arrived on a Sunday and rosa had bought some biscuits and orange juice for us! Great location of flat, slightly outside the very tourist area which was great. (Florence is small- max 7 minutes walk to the river). Lovely restaurants and bars in the area, santo spirito was very cool. We would recommend the area to anyone coming to Florence and flat was perfect for our needs. Thanks Francesca!
Francesca and Rosa were helpful in telling us where the apartment was. Rosa was patient and answered all of our questions.
The place is gorgeous and close to so many shops, cafes, piazzas, and restaurants! For those who want to hit up the most popular attractions (Il Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Galleria Dell'Academia, etc.), the place is only a 15 minute walk. The terrace was a joy to experience in the morning and the kitchen and living room made for a comfortable experience when we wanted to stay in.
The only drawback were the neighbors downstairs, who seemed to start their day at 1 AM. So invest in earplugs if you want a good night's sleep.
This is a lovely apartment in an amazing location in Florence. It's a very short walk to all of the main historical attractions of the city, but also in a more 'local' part of town which is quiet in the evening and the restaurants offer slightly better value.
The apartment was easy to find and in the end we just walked here from the train station (about 15 minutes) because that worked out to be quicker than driving given the daytime traffic in Florence.
Francesca was very easy to communicate with and the apartment manual you receive after booking is very useful.
The kitchen is great and well stocked with tea, coffee, sugar, salt, oil etc, so you can prepare food with ease. Fast wifi; nice outdoor space.
The only downsides are the neighbours downstairs can be a bit vocal, sometimes quite early in the morning. If you're planning to lie in you might want to consider taking earplugs.
Also if you want use of the air-conditioning in the apartment this has to be arranged for an extra charge which is payable after booking. I don't think it says anywhere how much this charge is. We stayed in early June and it started to get a bit stuffy and warm for us in the main bedroom, air-con would have been handy (we're from western Australia and live in an un-airconditioned house, so we have quite a high threshold for bedroom temperatures!)
Francesca's apartment was wonderful, with everything you need and in the ideal location. The apartment is one minute away from Santo Spirito, a wonderful very Florentine square which is close enough to all the main tourist points but across the river so you get a feel of what Florence is really like. The apartment itself is very cosy, and the balcony is a great place to sit and relax. The bedroom is nice and very comfortable. The only possible drawback I can think of is that the neighbors were quite noisy at times, however we had no real problems with this.
We didn't get to meet Francesca, however she was very helpful in all our communications and gave us a wonderful guide on the best local restaurants and bars and the best places to do your shopping. We did however meet her friend Rosa, who was very nice and extremely helpful, leaving us a welcome breakfast and very kindly letting us into the apartment after we had checked out as i had forgotten some drawings i had done there.
All in all a lovely stay, thanks a lot - highly recommend to others!
