The cottage is 1 large room/living space with a separate bathroom. The accommodations are very comfortable and modern. There is wireless internet (which I did use and which was fine), and a large-screen tv (which I did not use). Eric and Holly had some snacks and drinks ready in the fridge, as well as fresh chicken eggs from their own chickens! The setting is quiet and semi-rural/farm, with 2 friendly dogs, a cat, 3 goats, and a horse.
Eric and Holly are very warm and welcoming. They obviously love meeting new people and having guests. I had a brief hello with Holly on Saturday when I was heading out and she was tending the beautiful garden next to the cottage. When leaving Sunday, I had a nice conversation with Eric and Holly, and actually wish we could have hung out more together.
The place is close to the 101, 5 minutes max to the freeway.
I would definitely stay there again when I'm in the area.
Eric and Holly were very welcoming. The space was immaculate, and very spacious and peaceful feeling. The horse, goats and chickens were wonderful, as were the dogs that greeted us. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, near to beautiful beaches.
What a hidden gem! It was SO relaxing to stay here. There is a very peaceful presence at this location with all the animals, wind chimes, flowers, and everything. So close to everything in San Luis Obispo. Minutes away from wineries and the beach. It was nice and clean. The kitchen was convenient and had all the amenities to make a meal. Highly recommended.
We couldn't have asked for a better stay than the one we got at Eric and Holly's. Peace and quiet on the ranch with beautiful animals to entertain our 15-month old son and Eric and Holly were absolutely amazing hosts. Everything in the studio was perfect. It's spacious, has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing vacation, and is very close to great restaurants and Pismo Beach (t wait to go back next summer! Thank you for your hospitality, Eric and Holly! This was the perfect first family vacation for us!
This is a great studio! We didn't have a chance to meet Eric and Holly, but they had left us muffins and fruit which was such a sweet and personal touch! The studio is so quiet and feels so relaxing! The bed is comfortable, and was great to come back to after a long day out! We loved staying here, and I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Eric and Holly were wonderful hosts, and their studio was great! Finding the place the first time around takes a bit of work, but after that it's super easy to get to and it's relatively close (15 minute drive) to anywhere you'd want to go in the area (beach, wineries, downtown SLO, etc.). Everything was very clean by the time we arrived and Eric was there to greet us and show us around. The description they put up is 100% accurate and they even left fruits, eggs, muffins, and juice for us, which was a welcome surprise. Next time we're in SLO, we'll be coming back here for sure.
My mom and I had a fantastic time at Eric & Holly's studio! We loved the relaxed tone of the ranch. It is beautifully situated in the countryside and yet is short drive to the beach, wine tasting, and SLO. Everything was just as described on the profile--very clean, airy, and relaxing. We felt very welcome! They had fruit and juice available after our long journey and muffins and fresh eggs for breakfast! Eric was very helpful and had fantastic recommendations of places to eat and horseback riding. I would recommend this studio to anyone seeking to travel to this area.
About the Host, Eric & Holly
My wife and I are avid travelers. Because of all the animals on our mini ranch, doing a home exchange doesn't work for us. AirBnB gives us a much better option. We set aside what we earn renting our studio out via AirBnB and use that for our own travel.
