Lovely spot in Park Slope. Syl was a terrific, helpful and knowledgable host. We loved the kitchen and entire upstairs living area, very well thought-out. Cooking in night was a highlight. 2nd bedroom beds are def a bit small but doable. Only recommendation would be a bluetooth speaker/something similar. My parents and uncle (late 60s) were very comfortable here. Thanks, Syl!

Loved the house that we stayed in for the business trip. It was spacious, with a great kitchen & an extra .5 bathroom upstairs. The A/C was certainly key to have. Syl was very communicative and got back to us in good timing whenever we reached out. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking to stay somewhere for business or for pleasure. Thanks Syl!

We really enjoyed the week we spent in this Park Slope apartment. The host was very responsive and answered my texts within 10 minutes. The apartment was as beautiful as it looks in the listing and the upstairs-living area-has beautiful natural light and loads of room. Syl and Chris left us an extensive list of places to eat, shop and play and we happily took several of their suggestions (Bar Tano, SONG, and Daisie's Diner-all delicious!!) Thank you for a very positive trip to Brooklyn.

Syl and Chris were very quick to respond to our request to book and to answer questions and provide info. The apartment was clean, uncluttered, comfortable, and air conditioners and access to a washing machine were very helpful. The apartment is close to some excellent restaurants, bars, shops (including a beautiful Whole Foods) and the 4th Ave/9th street Subway station. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to enjoy Park Slope, Gowanus and beyond in Brooklyn.

I booked this place for my boss, and had initially messaged the host to see if, since it was just my boss (not the 6-person capacity she advertises), and only for two nights during a quick work trip, would she be amenable to reducing the $135 cleaning fee? She said she couldn't because they hire a cleaning crew to come for every reservation. I'm not sure why they can't just have only one person come to do a less intensive cleaning after a light stay, but so be it. When he arrived he didn't love the place. I didn't see it myself, but he just didn't feel comfortable staying there. I contacted Syl to explain, apologize, and ask if we could just get the cleaning fee refunded, and she said no because they hired someone to come clean, and then had arborists traipsing through the space after he decided he wasn't going to stay there. I'm not sure what that has to do with us, as they had already had the arborists working prior to his booking, but it just felt sort of bad faith to me, as our booking was a last minute booking and she had already hired the arborists, so clearly she wasn't expecting to receive a booking during those days, and got lucky with ours, and instead she made almost $500, and still had the arborists come as planned. As airbnb is built on community and communication, I didn't love this experience.
