If you are looking for a place where you will be spending your vacation, enjoying the nature, the beautiful see in the front of your apartment, or doing nothing… I don’t think you could find a better place than Drasnice. :)
HOW TO GET TO THE APARTMENT:
CAR - Once you made the reservation I will send you the video of how to get to the apartment, since your GPS wont show the address.
BUS – let me know where you will be departing from and I will help you with directions since I am probably more familiar with buses in Croatia then you are :). This will save you time for sure.
AIRPLANE – if you are flying in I would suggest you to fly to Split. That is the closest airport, and most likely the cheapest one (Zagreb might be cheaper, but then you will need to drive for another 3.5 hours, or ride on the bus for 6.5 hours). From the airport you can either rent a car, or you can take a bus. You will need to take 2 buses; one from the airport to downtown Split, and the other one from downtown Split to Drasnice. From there we can pick you up from the bus station, or you can just walk down the road.
FERRY – There are 2 ferries that come from Italy. One goes from Bari to Dubrovnik, and the other one is from Ancona to Split. Both of them are overnight ferries. I can provide you more information in this case, since guest usually want to see those 2 towns once they arrive.
GROCERY STORE, RESTAURANTS, BARS:
Drasnice has 1 grocery store (Konzum) where you can find all you need for cooking. Konzum is 5 minutes walk from one our houses, and 1 minute from our other house. There is also bigger shopping center in Makarska (10 minutes away).
In Drasnice you can also find 2-3 restaurants which are fairly close to the apartment (5 min walk the most along the coast). They serve food till midnight, but drinks are served long as you are sitting there and willing to drink. :)
There are also 4-5 coffee bars, they all close around midnight. For night owls who love to party till early in the morning (by morning I mean 6am :) ) I would suggest to go to either Podgora or Makarska.
A lovely stay once more at the Urlic's apartment. Second year we've done this. They made us feel very welcome and very much at home. The village is tiny and delightful and it makes a very easy holiday. Thank you Tonci and Lydia and see you again soon.
Lovely short stay at Toni's apartment in peaceful Drasnice. Toni and his wife were very friendly and welcoming and live downstairs in case you need to contact them about anything. The apartment itself is very well suited for summer living with a nice balcony looking out to sea. Drasnice itself is a quiet village with a few bars and restaurants and small beaches. Nice place for a stop over or a full week of you are after proper relaxation. I would recommend staying at Toni's.
We had a wonderful stay at the Urliic's apartment. We had quite an adventure driving to the apartment, but I blame my GPS for that, there is a new highway we should've taken but our GPS map was out of date. The apartment is very close to the sea and a couple minute walk the water. The reviews we accurate, this is a quite tranquil place and very quiet at night, which we liked. We we close enough to drive to Dubrovnik and spent the day there, what a beautiful walled city with so much history.
Stayed for a week in early August and needed to com from Tuesday to Tuesday and they were able to accommodate that. Delightful little town. Off the beaten track. Really beautiful place and easy beaches in the village and a little way outside. 15 minute walk gets you a beach to yourself some days. Tony and family very friendly and helpful and we are definitely coming back. The apartment was all that we could need. The local shop had everything and the restaurant (Puntin) down by the port was very good. Fresh food and home made bread with local olive oil. Prices for meals were good too.
We had a great stay.
We stayed for four days with Toni and his family and it was a great, great experience. The apartment was clean, the building and location were wonderful. We have two kids and they loved being there, going to the beach and eating our meals on the patio. We would recommend this place wholeheartedly. The beach is maybe a couple of minutes away if that, the water is amazing and clean. Sometimes in the Adriatic you get the afternoon filth but Drasnice is as clean as you see in the movies. We went after Croatia to Italy and then spent a week in Nice. By far the best accommodations were with Toni and his family.
