Interaction with Guests
Enjoy interaction, but I also need peace and quiet evenings to finish computer work and free reading. I am comfortable with silence when sharing living room space in front of the fire evenings.
I have lived on this street 11 years and I know, interact and love my neighbors, most of whom are longterm residents,so we "look" out after each other. It is also quiet and safe.
The CH buses are free and travel to CH, Carrboro and Hillsboro. The Triangle Transit bus fare is $2/ride and goes to RDU airport, Duke, greater Durham and Raleigh w/ limited coverage on Sunday.
Other Things to Note
I provide breakfast tems for short term guests--those here for wk or less, but anticipate long term guests provide their own breakfast due to reduced rates.
No smoking on property, Mutual respect for noise after 10pm--request earphones for music/movies, etc Please limit alcohol to 1-2 beers (or comparable)/daily.
This was my third stay at Ruth's, and as always, she created a welcoming, comfortable, home away from home. Thank you, Ruth!
Ruth is a fantastic host. I felt at home basically as soon as I walked in the door. She went above and beyond to help me with finding my way around both the house and the area. I always felt very relieved to know I had that lovely house and bedroom to come back to, as well as Ruth for a little conversation in the evening. She was always available if I needed help with anything but also allowed me the space to carry on with my own things. It was a great home for the 4 weeks I was in the Chapel Hill area.
Ruth was as gracious as ever. I have stayed here before and each time I meet new and interesting people. WholeFoods, Trader Joe's, Starbucks, RiteAid, Frozen Yogurt, Thai food, dry cleaners all across the street. Kitchen, a place to do laundry and great people to talk to. What could be better!
Thanks again Ruth.
Ruth is a very kind and generous host. She lets me use the blender for shakes. Room is even nicer than described.
Ruth was warm and welcoming, and helped me with my luggage when I arrived during a blinding downpour. Her home is clean, quiet, and serene in a wooded residential neighborhood. It is conveniently located near shops and restaurants, about 4 miles away from UNC. My room was comfortable, clean, and uncluttered. In other words, a perfect AirBnB experience!
Wonderful hostess, comfy and clean home, great location and close to shops and restaurants. Highly recommended! Thanks very much...Martin :)
