Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
This private suite is a slice of heaven in a woodland setting! Accessed via a flight of garden stairs, it has a private entry, dedicated street parking, a private patio, luxurious large bath with a walk-in shower for 2, large jacuzzi tub for 2, heated floors, A.C., mini fridge, toaster oven, & microwave! The bedroom features a queen-sized bed, table for two, large screen smart TV, and strong fiber optic WIFI signal. Located in a beautiful neighborhood with wonderful hikes just outside the door.

The space
This private suite is located on the lower level of our home, accessed from the south side of the house down an exterior set of stairs. There are no nearby neighbors on this side of the house and it is very quiet - all you see is forest and the view to west.
The bathroom features a large walk-in shower for two, heated floors and a fabulous two-person jetted tub. Neck pillows at each end of tub are provided for enhanced relaxation. Coffee, Tea, and small refrigerator are provided. Also plates and silverware for two, wine glasses and wine opener. Free Netflix, MAX, Prime Video, and YouTube TV!

Transportation and parking are very convenient. There is ample on-street free parking on this quiet street with only one immediate neighbor. Freeway access is very quick and easy via highway Highway 13 and I-580. San Francisco is about 20 minutes away (if no traffic) or a convenient commute via BART from nearby Rockridge Station. We are very near the University of California at Berkeley campus (17 to 12 min.), and major highways 80, 580, 24 and 880, which can whisk you to the vibrant galleries of Sausalito (40 minutes), San Jose (50 minutes), or Santa Cruz (90 minutes). If you are up for a day-long outing, don't miss the grand Muir Woods, wine tours in Napa, or mud baths in Calistoga. Quick access to sunshine on foggy days via the Caldecott Tunnel to points east - Orinda, Lafayette, Walnut Creek, and Lake Tahoe (~3 1/2 hours.)

Guest access
Guests can not access our home. Guests have a private and separate entry on the patio at lower level on south side of the house, next to a forest.

Other things to note
There is a flight of exterior stairs from street and three steps between bedroom and bathroom, please do not book if you have mobility issues.
We have another vacation rental on the other side of the house. They also park on street against hill, the spots up the hill are meant for their use and the spot across from trash enclosure is for your use. But no worries if they get mixed up!
We have security cameras on the front of the house to monitor our home entry and driveway. The camera view does not extend to guest patio.

Neighborhood highlights

Our home is located above a canyon with views of the bay overlooking a forest of oak and bay trees. There are no homes below us. The neighborhood is upscale with beautiful homes and gardens. Our street is hilly, but it is flat in front of our house providing easy parking and guest access. Lots of people use our street for hiking because it connects to the trail below our home.
