Had the run of the apartment for four days. Wonderful place, compact but well-equipped (minus a shower--great tub though).
Andrea was really thoughtful and respectful of my private space, (despite that I was the one in her home) and she was quick to provide lots of good information about what to do, eat and see nearby and throughout the city and region.
The neighbourhood is a unique, up-and-coming area with an arty sort of vibe, very close to downtown and most of the major urban attractions.
Comfy bed, too.
Andrea's place was very comfortable and within walking distance of both Dalhousie University and the Waterfront in Halifax. My son and I did not meet Andrea, but she was within easy reach by cellphone and text and responded to our questions well within the hour. I particularly appreciated the comfortable bed and cosy bedding. Also appreciated the use of her washer and dryer. The claw foot bath was also a treat. I would definitely consider staying here again.
We were very happy with our 3 night stay in Andrea's lovely flat. The location was ideal for exploring Halifax -- walking distance to just about everything we wanted to see, and easy access to the bus as well. Andrea met us at the house and was extremely kind and accommodating. Her home is beautiful and very clean and comfortable, and her neighborhood is full of interesting places to shop, eat, and browse. Highly recommended.
We stayed at Andrea's with our toddler daughter. The home was well-furnished and had all the amenities we needed. The location was near The Commons, which is a lovely park with a great playground. There's also a nice cafe around the corner. Although we never met Andrea in person, she was easy to reach. She even left us a bowl of blueberries when we arrived! We would definitely stay there again, especially if a handheld shower is added to the tub. Great place!
Andrea was really nice and super helpful! Her place is spacious, nice, and in a good location. We had a great time there!
We had a delightful 2 nights at Andrea's. The bed was exceptional, and the suite full of character. The neighbourhood is also full of character and well worth exploring. We walked downtown from her place. We felt very welcome.
Thanks so much Andrea, for sharing.
Andrea was fantastic! She surprised us with a great treat, and was always quick on communication. Very friendly and seems like an overall wonderful person.
The flat itself was very clean and comfortable, well organized, and an easy walk into the core of downtown. It was a bit of a pain not having a shower when we wanted to get up and go in the mornings, but the tub was amazing for an evening soak. We had a great time!
Thanks for being such great guests. I wanted to let you know that I'm putting in hand held shower in September. You know, the ones that look like an antique phone when they are on their cradle. So, the next time you stay, you'll be able to have the option of a shower OR a soak in the gorgeous tub. Be well! -AR
I had a wonderful time. Host was amazing, very helpful, always avail when I had questions... Got back to me within the hr.
Spacious, and close to everything... I felt warm and cozy my entire month spent there.
Highly recommend it :)
We stayed a week in Andrea's flat and it was amazing! She woke up super early to meet us and she was very friendly and informative. Any follow up questions that we had during the week were promptly answered and her house was fully stocked with little things like condiments and laundry detergent that made the stay that much more enjoyable.
The house is in a great location with easy walking or busing access to downtown, as well as to Dartmouth.
Andrea is a wonderful host and we hope to meet her again in the future:)

Loved the apartment. Loved the decor, the colors, the art, the wood, the kitchen, the soft bed.
The location was ideal. Lots of amenities in the neighborhood (coffee, samosas, middle eastern food), and it afforded good walks to different parts of the city.
Appreciated communicating with Andrea. Never met in person, but Andrea seemed warm and gave us some wonderful suggestions on things to enjoy in Halifax.
Usually Andrea responded quickly to emails/texts, but we were scheduled to set sail from the US in a couple of days and I hadn't heard back regarding how to check in so I felt a little nervous (I think Andrea was involved with something happening out of town and about a day had elapsed between communications, which can feel like a long time in cyber time), but then we got the scoop and all was well.
The bathroom had a lovely cast iron tub. Fine for a bath, but we would have appreciated some alternative, such as a hand-held attachment connected to the spigot, or even a bucket for pouring water over oneself, like one does in India.
Those two disappointments were minimal in scope of the overall experience, which we really loved.
We would definitely recommend the place and would love to return.
