My house is located in what most call Central North End Halifax. It’s a great community. A mix a commercial and residential, McCully is a quiet street nestled in a busy and growing neighbourhood. A 25 minute walk to downtown or Dalhousie, 35 to SMU or the waterfront.

Our stay was great, Andreas place is very comfortable and in a great location to so many great things. I'd highly recommend to anyone visiting Halifax.
For the purpose of our journey to Halifax the location was perfect: close to family, city and in an interesting neighbourhood. Andrea's home was a comfortable base for us, with plenty of hot water and facilities at hand.Andrea was a friendly, approachable host. It was good to be able to touch base with her and not feel that we were an imposition. It was the small touches that made us feel welcome, like the gift of local cafe Java Blend coffee. We would certainly return.
The welcoming done by Andrea was fantastic! Everything in the flat was explained well, and the little personal welcoming touches were great! Even though I was by myself I felt welcomed and comfortable! An up and coming neighbourhood, but there was definitely some cute little shops!
Our stay was great. Andrea's place has lots of character and is located in a part of town with lots of restaurants to try and pubs for the evenings. Thanks!
My three years old kid, my husband and me have spent one month and a half at Andrea's house.
Everything was great and Andrea made us our settlement in Halifax easier. She was always avaliable to solve our problems and answering our questions. She was really worried about our welfare.
The location of the house is really good, walking or taking buses, you get the donwtown in some minutes. And groceries shops are really close.
And the house is almost perfect, we just missed a handheld shower. :)
The house always be our first home in Halifax!!!
We are very grateful to Andrea.
Andrea is a great host. The space was perfect for us, she left information about the neighbourhood, and she even left us snacks.
The neighborhood was fine and about a 20 minute walk to the Citadel, 30 to 40 minutes to the waterfront. The kitchen was well equipped and Andrea left us some basics, incuding a bar of chocolate. Lots of information about restaurants and contact details.
Andrea was very responsive when we had a problem with the water supply and contacted the city to resolve the problem.
The flat was comfortable if cluttered.

About the Host, Andrea
I love living in my central-north end Halifax home. I'm Nova Scotian, born and raised. I grew up in a house where everyone was welcome. Our home was happily shared with friends, family and really anyone who needed a place to be, for a day or night or longer. I hope I foster that same feeling of warmth & welcome here at my place.
In my work, I'm a producer and costume designer in theatre, and an administrator working in other artistic disciplines. A through line in my work is the popularizing of art forms. Sharing the language of the work with others inside and outside of the discipline.
What else to say? I'm a terrific cook, I host a weekly open house called Thirsty Thursday that starts & goes late mostly populated by people from the theatre community, I love being near the ocean and my family & feel so lucky that I get to have both right here in the city that I call home.
I'd be happy to introduce you to all that's great about the city and the gorgeous lakes, beaches, oceans, farms and forest just outside of town.
Hope to see you soon!
