  • Sailene and John were so great! We loved their little private apartment, situated in a lovely feeling back yard and highly recommend it.
Sailene was a great communicator and such a friendly host! She made us very comfortable right away and was a real treat to chat with.
The apartment was so cute and private, we loved it. The bed was comfy as was the couch. The bathroom was very clean and functioned well. We cooked breakfast every morning in the kitchen with no complaints. We loved the private little deck, so charming. The fact that we had access to two cruiser bicycles as well was the icing on the cake! Thanks so much Sailene and John!

  • We were warmly welcomed by Sailene and shown to the guesthouse. Beautiful place, everything was provided and cleaned to perfection. If/ when i go back to Venice i'll be sure to stay here again. Thanks a bunch Sailene!

  • We had a great stay in Sailene's guest house. The space is cozy and well decorated, with a nicely equipped kitchen for those who want to cook. There is also access to the grill and bikes, which we used frequently throughout our stay. Sailene was an incredibly welcoming, friendly, and accommodating host who went out of her way to be sure that we had everything we needed. The guesthouse feels very private despite the proximity to the main house, and has a very cute patio area that was perfect for meals outside. We would definitely stay here again!

  • Loved my stay with sailene!!! Couldn't ask for more, it's the perfect place to stay and has every amenity you could ask for!! Parking is easy, which is not always the case in la, and the yard space is adorable. I can't wait to visit again soon!!!!

  • We enjoyed Jon & Saliene's guesthouse for a week + in Venice. They were great hosts. Very accommodating, and welcoming. The place was tidy and perfectly equipped for our stay. It was nice to have a private space as we did, including the small patio out front for us to dine al fresco. The bikes that are included were used daily. So helpful! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in Venice. It was a great location, especially if you don't mind biking and walking to tour and a close proximity to Whole Foods!

  • We had a lovely four day stay in the guesthouse. We were greeted by Jon, who was nothing but kind and welcoming, and who made us feel right at home. There were beach cruisers and a tandem bike that were made available to us, which we took advantage of to ride the short distance to the beach every day, Santa Monica's Main St., and the grocery store (the biggest Whole Foods I've seen.) We made dinner a couple of nights in the small yet adequate kitchen as well. Rose Ave. has lots of hip restaurants and small shops, and leads right down to the Venice boardwalk. The house itself was comfortable and cozy, and the perfect size for two. I highly recommend this place!!!

  • My comments are ditto to previous. I would add that Sailene was a good communicator via both text and email. Bikes came in very handy as we were there during LA Marathon.

  • We had a great stay at Venice beach! Sailene was so nice and friendly and the place was really cute and clean. I would highly recommend the place!

  • We spent 3 nights at Sailene's guesthouse. Sailene, her husband and her house sitter (our hosts were absent the first day, what did not cause any problem for us) were very welcoming! They had no problem helping us late at night when we had a problem with the key. Everything we needed for our stay was in the guesthouse. Before our stay, Sailene always answered quickly to my questions. The place is in a great spot, not far from some interesting things to do (beach, Santa Monica Pier and Third Street, Venice Canals).

My name is Sailene I live in Venice, California with my musician husband Jon. We travel a lot and love to spontaneously get out of town. We have traveled quite extensively throughout the World and this is our passion. Exploring, expanding, sharing. We live for the outdoors, are total "foodies" and spend our time being grateful.
