The Space

Our home is colorful and comfortable and HUGE by New York standards. If you're spending the summer in NYC our place will make you feel at right at home. Eat-in kitchen, large bedroom and living room, spacious bathroom, and desk for two. The apartment has high ceilings, hardwood floors and several windows letting in lots of natural light. We have Wi-Fi and a projector that hooks up to a computer for projecting movies onto the wall, two sets of speakers for listening to music, and a vintage radio/record player. Plenty of closet space and great kitchen for cooking and eating in. There is a laundry room in the building. We're just steps from the A train and about a 10-minute walk to the C and 1 trains. Walking distance from grocery stores and coffee shops as well. The beautiful Ft. Tryon Park and Cloisters museum is a pleasant 15 minute walk away. Price includes Wi-Fi and all utilities.

  • Elizabeth was a truly wonderful host! She was very communicative, made sure I had the keys before our arrival, and answered all of my questions. The apartment was just like the pictures and the place was huge by NYC standards. We were very impressed with how clean it was when we first arrived :) The little guide folder they have upon your arrival was very helpful throughout our time there. The area was fine and though I wouldn't want to be walking around there late late at night, we never ran into any problems. And we loved the convenience of the express train (20 mins to Times Square!) My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were sad to leave. Will definitely keep them in mind for the future. Nothing sketchy here, just honest people renting out their fun and beautifully kept apartment!

  • We stayed in this apartement for a week and we loved it! It's comfortable and colorful, just 1 minute walk from A subway and from any kind of shop that you may need. Elizabeth and Joseph are very kind, they helped us so much to retrieve our stolen luggage. We definitely recommend it :)

  • We stayed 4 nights at this nice place, despite the fact that someone stole my camera at the Macy's and all the following dealings with the police - everything was just fine! The area is quiet, very convenient and safe. The blue line train station is just a block away. When there try that Japanese place at Washington bridge for very good sushi! Checking in was easy - keys were left with a neighbor from downstairs and she assisted us a lot! The apartment is clean all amenities were there. We recommend this place!

About
We are artsy, laid back, and genuine. We run a theater company together in small town Florida. Traveling is a big part of our lives and has truly shaped who we are. We met while we were both college students in New Orleans and fell in love years later when we ran into each other while we were both living in Chicago. We love meeting new people and hearing their stories. Something that Kurt Vonnegut said in Cat's Cradle has stuck with me for years: "Always say 'yes' to unusual travel suggestions." This hasn't steered us wrong yet!
