  • Excellent mountain location, central location. Just minutes from the Center. The home was clean and tidy. Ample bedding and linens. The Host was very responsive, helpful and knowledgeable. Delightful fireplace really helps warm the home. I highly recommend this charming, stylish, and cozy apartment for young visitors, seniors, singles, families or couples.

  • Linda's place is fantastic and I highly recommend it. We were 2 couple each with a baby and it was plenty of space, very clean, well equipped with a large balcony perfect for watching the sunset. The pictures don't do it justice. Linda and her relatives were very helpful and provided us with all the information we needed to have a great holiday. We fell in love with the town as well which is quiet, peaceful and high up enough in the mountains to escape the heat of the valley. The Dolomites and the forest are very beautiful and there were plenty of hiking trails within a short walk or drive from the apartment. Don't miss Diego, the cheese / sausage / grappa maker next door or his daughter's AMAZING restaurant across the street. we had some of our best meals in Italy there. A local baker also stops in front of the house and sells fresh bread and pastries out of his truck every day. WE had perfect holiday and plan to return. Thanks so much!

  • My family with 2 small children stayed for 7 days in July . We enjoyed accomodation at Linda's house a lot. A place (Sant' Anna )is very quiet, beautiful and relaxing with amazing forest in two steps.. We liked greatly a climate of this region. It was pleasantly cool at night and a fireplace was a nice attachment, but during the day weather was appropriate even for sunbathing. A house is very cute, spacious , cozy with all necessary stuff for comfortable accommodation. The view from the balcony is really amazing, in the morning you can see a herd of horses from the window.
Linda's mother and uncle met us and explained all details about house, shops, restaurants and even showed the way to supermarket, which is situated in Tambre. They were very friendly and hospitable.
There are a lot of mountain and touristic routs of various difficulty in the nearest distance and also you can travel to Belluno Dolomity park which is not far and to Cortina d'Ampezzo as well.Venice is only about 1,5 hours by car.
Local products are fantastic, at the end of our stay we visited local cheese maker ( ab 600 m from the house), who suggested us extremely tasty cheese and salami and treated us with a glass of wine.
We have only warm memories about out travel to this region and to our stay.

  • This lovely apartment is situated in a spectacularly beautiful place. The apartment is spacious and well equipped with an incredible view. There are wonderful hiking trails nearby (a short walk from the apartment.) Linda's Uncle, Dario met us near the town of Tambre and we followed him to the apartment. He was wonderful! He took us to the artisan cheese maker, introduced us and joined us for some cheese tasting. We had a delightful time and the cheeses and wine were amazing. (thank-you, Dario.)

  • Our stay was incredible! The cabin is located in a mountain paradise. Just next door is a shop were a local makes artisan cheeses. He uses milk from cows that he pastures right across the street! The cheese was fantastic (and reasonably priced). The scenery is breathtaking. The cabin has a pleasant view from the balcony, which is made even more picture-perfect with a roaring fire in the hearth! There are a number of walking paths in the area and there are cows, horses and sheep in pastures all over the hillside (which was a big deal for my two-year-old). Our host was very kind, showing us around the village and introducing us to a few key people (the artisan cheesemaker and a farmer up the road who offers horse rides). I highly recommend a stay!

  • Both Daniela and Linda are great people. The appartment is nice and comfortable . We were looking for a quiet and relaxing area and we found it . Horse ridding in the nearby is a must! We have indeed enjoyed our stay in Tambre and hope to come back again in Spring.

  • My family of 5 stayed for 5 days and we left wishing we had much more time to spend in this wonderful place. First, before even leaving on the trip, there were complications in the authentication process and Linda was beyond patient, nice and understanding throughout. It gave us a feel as to what to expect during our stay, which was a warm, friendly and unbelievably accomodating welcome.
We were late arriving, but a family member was there to show us the place (which was wonderfully pretty and had plenty of space), and to give us tips on where to go, where to eat and shop, the best beaches and the best way to see Venice (which is only about 1 1/2 hours away by car, as was the beach).
A five minute walk down the road will take you to a beautiful restaurant that was converted from a barn that sells delicious, simple food that comes directly from their own stock of self-made cheeses, wines, beef, etc. Across the street from this restaurant, and owned by the same family, is a little local shop where the locals congregate to drink the homemade wines and eat the homemade salami and cheeses. It was fantastic!
The evenings and nights were extremely quiet and the mornings we were eagerly looking forward to the honking of the local bread man that would stop outside the apartment and sell fresh bread and pastries.
There are hiking trails and horseback riding for adults and children. Down in the bigger town is a huge lake, or rather a sea, that is not so conducive for swimming, but is great for sailing, boating and a few water sports.
The evenings tend to get a little chilly so high up in the mountains, but the fireplace chased the chill away and made for some great family evenings.
The kitchen was stocked, although there was no toaster, microwave or dishwasher, which was totally ok with us.
The only downside was that there was no internet connection up there, so when we wanted to find out more information about some of the farther away towns we couldn't.
All in all, our family enjoyed one of the best family vacations we ever had, we came away with an incredible impression of the hospitality of the locals and our hosts and we highly recommend staying here. We plan to come again.
