Nola's house is great. The neighborhood is convenient, quite and cool! Nola is a cool girl!
Great host, nice location and very peaceful listing. I'll come back if I am around Portland. Thanks for the glass of organic Oregon wine Nola!
My stay at the Portland Oasis was perfect. I was greeted by Nola and Raven and they showed me everything about the house. They were also very flexible with my check in time and also letting me check out late so I had time to come back to the house after a bike race and shower. The neighborhood is perfect. Amazing coffee and food in every direction. I took their advice and went to the food carts one night and had an tasty dinner. If you want to stay in and cook your own meals, the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. I would highly recommend this house!! Oh, and to top it off, they have Heath Ceramic kitchen ware (never seen that before at an airbnb).
Our experience at Nola's was terrific. She was very quick to respond to our initial communication and kept in touch with us, answering all our questions as our arrival drew near. She's a warm and fun person and we ended up hanging out with her and a great new (and not crowded!) breakfast joint and having some thought-provoking conversation.
The house is beautiful and cozy. It’s clean and stocked with all natural products and pesticide-free fruit for breakfast.
Nola's daughter Raven was fun, intelligent and respectful, and their sweet mother-daughter rapport made us feel at home.
It’s a nice quiet neighborhood with loads of great restaurants and bars within walking distance.
Terrific place all around. Highest recommendation.
This is a beautiful, spacious new home with a cozy feel. We received a warm welcome from Nola on our first ever visit to Portland and were very pleased with the amenities as well as the close proximity to downtown and trendy Belmont district. Nola provided us with great ideas on what to see and we highly recommend this home for a true Portland experience.
We loved staying at Nola's home for a week! She and her daughter are very hospitable, helpful and friendly. We were welcome in all the shared areas and even could use the huge kitchen to prepare and eat meals. Her home is new, lovely, clean and artsy. Our room and bed were very comfortable and the bathroom is spacious. We loved the great location near so many stores, restaurants, grocery stores, parks and the ease to access the freeways to drive to tourist locations around Portland. We would definitely stay at any of Nola's locations again!
Nola was an excellent host. She can tell you a ton about Portland! The house is really clean, bright, colorful and pleasant. The neighborhood is quiet and conveniently located. Having an on-site bicycle to rent affordably was a huge plus. This space is an excellent choice for a first-time visit to Portland.

It is so much fun watching Portlandia make fun of our beautiful city Portland, as well as its residents. I could say the same about how the show Father Ted made folks really know Ireland- the good, the bad, and the ridiculous.
Well, it is our turn now, and what a great time to live here. There is a Food Renaissance here that is complemented by Art, Tech, Learning, Nature, Sustainability, and some of the friendliest people anywhere.
I am a bit of a stereotype of Portland since I have a business in green rentals as well as being an extremely social, nerdy, outdoors loving, book reading person. And I adore living in Portland and knowing at least a little bit about everything that is going on. What do you want to do?
I have a bunch of Irish influence which makes me a social story-teller who loves guests. I enjoy hosting folks as well as traveling. I have spent time living in Argentina, Mexico, France, and Hawaii. I live in Ireland as well as in the States.
Sharing my home and other properties is my calling. I designed the Taylor house be lovely, healthy, green, and efficient- it's the Sustainable Economist in me. The other properties that I list I have remodeled to be fun and healthy as well. The house in Ireland is on my ancestor's land and I grew up going to this house. I have spent the last two years doing a major remodel and it looks great. La Casita was where I taught Argentine Tango for many years and is quite charming. I also have a house that I rent full time that was featured on the GreenRenter site and is an offical G-Rated environmental home.
A key thing about what I offer as a host is what I am looking for as a guest. I can't stand chain hotels. They can be quite luxurious but they always come across as impersonal. Give me a fun walkable neighborhood that real people live, work and play- and That is where I wish to stay. My properties are unique luxurious spaces that I created for myself, my family and my community that I can also share with you.
One last thing, these are my personal properties so there are no surprises about folks who are subletting through Airbnb. I have a great team (Talia and Anastasia ) who take care of things when I am away, but you can always contact me directly through email with any concerns or questions.
I am a social person so hosting comes naturally to me and I have often had folks staying with me even before AirBnB. Friends stay with me or just toss relations and friends my way to take in. Now thanks to the Share-economy so many things are possible that are community building, sustainable, and amazing.
There are many changes happening with short term rentals and the City of Portland. I am pleased that Portland is seeking a balance between the share-economy and our amazing communities.
