Forget staying in a stuffy hotel! Live like a local in this fully furnished home. I have a lot of art on the walls and the kitchen is Mexican theme. The bedroom with the twin bed has two french doors that open to the spacious backyard. I am a photographer and you will see some of my photographs on the wall. I will be living in a van, photographing the people and places of the United States so by renting the home, you are helping me document America!
Feel free to contact me if you can think of something I missed...
Interaction with Guests
Guests can contact me anytime via email or phone. Although I won't be there in person, I have a friend near if you need someone to home over to help with anything.
Historical Bluff Heights Neighborhood
There is a bus stop nearby and a block away, you can rent bicycles to ride around.
Other Things to Note
I prefer to rent to long term guests when possible.
I allow pets but please let me know the breed and a description of your pet. The backyard is fenced but there is a fence that is only 4 foot tall on one side. If you have a dog that will jump the fence, this might not be the rental for you. It has a dog run on the side of the home and I will provide a kennel if you need one. If your dog digs, it might be able to escape. I just want you to be aware of these things for the safety of your pet.
The home is not for children, it is not child proof. Thank you for your understanding.
The home might not be suitable for elderly people since the bathroom has a clawfoot tub shower combo and you have to be able to step up and stepping down is further. I will have a step stool for everyone but it may be difficult for someone who has a hard time walking. I wanted you to be aware of that.
I don't mind you smoking outside but please not in the house.
I prefer guests with a week or longer stay. Thank you for your understanding.
Once booked, I will email rules agreement and check in instructions. You will be met at the house by a friend so even though I will be traveling, there will be someone nearby to check you in and if you need any assistance.
We LOVED Alison's house. Super cozy, wonderful artwork everywhere, and a great location. A very cute and safe neighborhood, and it was easy to walk to the beach, and lots of cute restaurants, coffeehouses, and shops. She also has a great little back yard, where I spent a lot of time reading and napping in the lawn chair. This was our first experience using Airbnb and it couldn't have been better! Thanks Alison!
We had a great time at Alison's place and enjoyed all the amenities. She really knows how to explain everything you need to know about the house and provides attentive local contacts along with quick responses whenever you have a question. The house is well appointed and very comfortable. On top of everything, you're surrounded by fun decos and great art!
Great location and home with lots of amenities. Would definitely rent again, and Alison was very fast to respond.
My parents and I rented Alison's home for their visit to Long Beach. The house and yard were both spectacular. Alison has thought of everything, and the home itself is gorgeous. The backyard with a patio, grill, and fire pit was an amazing bonus. I would absolutely recommend Alison's home to anyone looking for a great place to stay in the Long Beach/LA area!
We had a great time in Alison's place. The description was very accurate, and the bungalow as described. Excellent communications from Alison and no problems with getting access. Long Beach is a great location for a visit to LA.
This home was everything that we had hoped for! It had everything- wonderful accommodations,a great backyard for barbequing, and on top of it all, our dog was warmly welcomed. A cozy, comfortable home located within blocks to trendy Broadway's shops, spas, and restaurants. Alison was a terrific host who was always available if needed. When we return to Long Beach next year, my family and I can only hope that this home will be available again. Thank you Alison for making our summer in Long Beach a most enjoyable one!
This was our third time renting this lovely home from Alison, and it was so wonderful to be back at her house- it is like our home away from home and we wouldn't think of renting any other place in Long Beach- only Alison's! The home is immaculate; comfortable beds; fully equipped kitchen; and is just simply a cozy intimate home to hang out! We love all the art and photos in the house. We love the dining room where we enjoy our meals and sitting in the backyard al fresco! It is a tradition for us to walk over to Coffee Cup for breakfast once in a while and to rent bikes for the day from Anthony...and it is a must for us to go to Yogurtland for our cool treats in Belmont Shores. The area is so easy to navigate around and it is a great home base.
Alison is always quick to respond to emails and is such a joy to work with. I highly recommend her home!
Thank you again for the great memories!
Thank you for your interest in my property! I consider this house to be my little hideaway. I love nature and traveling and because of this, I'm not home! I am living in a van with my dog, Max and we are traveling the United States documenting the people and places we come across. I am an animal lover and this is why I allow your well behaved, four legged family member to stay with you on vacation.
I love art and you will see by the house that it's a bit different. My kitchen is Mexican theme and each room has a different color and art is everywhere. I have many of my photographs on the wall of people I've come across on the road. The backyard is a great place to lounge around in or have a BBQ! The house has everything you will need.
It's wonderful that you are out exploring other areas as I am. This is my sixth year living on the road and the people who stay at my home really enjoy it and many come back every year to stay.
If you would like to know more about me, feel free to contact me with any questions you might have.
I hope to host you soon!
