You rent the entire space of a beautiful French style studio, recently renovated, on the first floor in a building located in the heart of lively hip Marais district. If you are looking for a place during the fashion week in Paris it's one of the best neighborhoods to stay.
Very central, comfortable, quiet and artsy. 5 min walking distance from Oberkampf, Bastille and Republique. 10 min walking distance from Georges Pompidou Art Center (Beaubourg).
The apartment is situated next to the Picasso Museum and the famous "Place des Vosges". It's a 20 minute walk from Notre Dame and the City Hall and 5 minute from the nicest places to have a drink and eat or hang out at night.
The studio apartment consists of a large living room with a queen sofa bed (for two), a mezzanine with a full size bed (140x190cm, accommodates two) and a futon bed upon request (free for the fifth guest, if you rent for 4 people) and a large bathroom with bathtub / hair drier and a kitchen so you can cook at home. Large grocery store on the same block and supermarket one bloc further.
High speed ADSL Internet / Wi-Fi / cable. Cordless phone upon request, with free and unlimited calls to many destinations on landline numbers (France, all Europe, USA, Canada, China, Japan…). Free calls to US and Canadian mobile phones.
The building has a closed courtyard where you can secure your bike if needed, and if you don't have a bike, Velib' stations (bike rental) are a mere 100 yards away.
Closest subway stations are Saint Sebastien Froissart (line 8, 2 minute walking distance) and Oberkampf (line 5, 10 minute walking distance). Also many bus lines if you don’t fancy subways.
Chatelet-Les Halles is close to the studio (a 15 min walk) which is the biggest hub for subway/RER (express subway) lines in Paris.
From Chatelet-Les Halles, direct express line to Roissy-Charles de Gaulle and Orly international airports (a 50 minutes ride) although the best way to get to the studio from the airport is taking RER B and changing in Gare du Nord to take Subway 5.
The whole neighborhood is very lively, it's considered to be one the trendiest place to live in. Plenty of designer’s stores and fashion houses around. The studio overlooks the courtyard, so it stays very quiet.

everything amazing… great cousy place..
Ale was an extremely great host, we arrived late after the scheduled meeting time and got lost and he came to get us and walk us to the apartment. Also, he made us dinner reservations at an excellent restaurant near by. The apartment is a parisian style loft located in Le Marais which is a super trendy area in paris, and central to everything. I would definitely stay at this listing again and recommend this to anyone looking for a true parisian experience.
My daughter and I stayed at Ale's apartment for 3 nights. We met Ale only very briefly as he had been out of town but this was not a problem as he was constantly in touch with us and quickly responded when we enquired about the Wi-Fi.
The apartment was fine for the two of us, very comfortable and warm. The location is great with Merci-Merci just at the end of the road and lots of nice bistros and interesting shops in the location.
Very happy to provide a positive recommendation for the apartment and the location. thank you Ale.
Location is ideal - absolutely perfect for exploring the Marais. Ale was a wonderful host - very helpful and accommodating when we had issues with our flight and so checked-out later than planned.
Ale was fabulous as was his apartment. We could not have asked for a better location. We were a family of 4 ( two young boys 12 & 14) we had the best time, walking the Marais, such a great location, you can go anywhere by foot, and there is also a metro stop within minutes of the apartment. Merci is literally around the corner, and the boot cafe downstairs, which serves 'real' milk coffee - the best coffee in Paris! You will not regret staying here and we hope it is available the next time we visit Paris. Thank you Ale, and thank you for organising our transport to the airport too.
The place is ideally located, in a side street of Rue de Turenne, an vibrant part of Paris' 3rd arrondissement. Many people in the streets spend time in lively restaurants. Ale is a very nice and helpful person and can be reached easily. The appartment is calm but a bit dark, and smaller than the photos suggest. The second bed (a convertible sofa) is in a rather bad state and makes lots of noise when you move at night. Overall it was a good stay.
We had an amazing weekend in Paris. We travelled as a threesome - my fiance and my 15 month old son.
The positives were that Marais is a lovely and a very cool area - there is so much to do and you don't need to go anywhere else for the shopping - there is a Zadig and Voltaire on every street corner :) and plenty of good places to eat within walking distance. Ale was very good at recommending a couple of places - both of which were very good.
From an accommodation perspective, the apartment is 'shabby chic' - there are a few areas which are in need of an update and feel a little rustic.
It wasn't a child friendly apartment - although Ale does not have kids so that is truly not his fault. He was very accommodating in getting us a travel cot in time for our little boy which was really lovely of him.
My only comment on the apartment is the bathroom - I felt a little claustrophobic at 5.2" in the shower and my fiance who is 6.2" had to bend over to have a shower so please note this.
You could also hear the neighbours as the apartment isn't very sound proofed.
Ale was one of the best hosts we've ever had! He was there to help us both when we arrived and when we were leaving, and was very accommodating. The apartment is really nice (especially the beautiful ceiling) and very conveniently laid out. The location was perfect for us since we wanted to be in the middle of the Marais, and the nearest subway station is right at the end of the street. Even the weather was much better than we expected during our visit, which I'm not sure we can give Ale credit for, but maybe staying with him brought us good luck on that front too.
Had a good stay at Ale's place - highly recommend it. Location is great and flat very comfortable.
Ale is very responsible and communicative. Firstly I sent a message around 15:00 and he quickly replied so that I could book for that night, which was surely very tight for him but he kindly accepted. Location is excellent. His flat is very clean and cool! Loved it!
