Sue's Place is a warm and welcoming home with a private bedroom at the top of scenic Bernal Heights, a friendly community/village in the Mission that includes coffeeshops, organic food grocery, bookstore, wineshop, fab restaurants ( Peruvian, Nepalese, Japenese, Californian, etc.). There is a hiking trail from the top of the street to Bernal Park with lofty views of San Francisco. The airport is 15 minutes away and Downtown is 15 minutes away. Public transportation is accessible. Breakfasts and wifi are available. There is a hot tub in the garden for your use. Shared bathroom.
It was our first AirBnB experience and it was great! We loved to stay at Sue´s place, it felt like be at home. This cosy room with this super comfortable bed was a treat after a long day in the city. We also loved the healthy breakfast, and the nice conversations with Sue. She`s a wonderful host and very helpful too! Thanks for sharing your nice home!!
Sue was an absolute delight to stay with. My friend and I stayed in Sue's home for approximately 9 days. We were provided with food for breakfast and coffee (the most delicious coffee) every morning, and Sue made sure that all the food was stocked for us.
The location was great - as long as you don't mind the hill up, walking is ideal. The house is very welcoming, with lots of character, and the hot tub is a bonus!
Sue was great at recommending different restaurants, neighbourhoods, etc. We would definitely stay here again!
Sue's place is really lovely and she is warm and hospitable. She provided us with a generous supply of fruit, yogurt, cereals, breads, eggs, etc. for our breakfasts. we can't comment on the hot tub because we went out to hear music every night and got back too late to use it, but it's in a lovely little garden. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, and public transit (when it's running) is smooth and easy to use to get downtown. The Mission District is a short walk from the house. We enjoyed chatting with Sue and she gave us some good tips on things to do and see. There are good restaurants close to the house and walking up the hill is well worth the views.
We had a great time at Sue's place, great and useful information provided as well as hearty breakfast. Thank's
A fabulous host, Sue made my husband and me feel very welcomed and comfortable during our stay at her beautiful home. Beyond offering a very comfortable bed with a truly spectacular view, Sue opens her fridge, her home and her heart to help make your stay with her pleasant. She offers an amazing breakfast selection, allows you to unwind from a busy day's outing in the hot tub in her delightful, jasmine-scented garden and provides fabulous dining tips. Plus, she readily shares her wealth of knowledge about her city. Ask her anything. Staying at Sue's Place was our first Airbnb experience...and because of her, we're hooked and willing to try it again and again! We especially look forward to staying at Sue's Place on another visit to SF.
This was our first airbnb experience, and it was far beyond our expectations! Sue is a lovely host, she made everything for us to feel comfortable and at home. We couldn't have ended our road trip in a better way than staying at Sue's place for three wonderful days in San Francisco.

We enjoyed our stay with Sue! It takes only 15 mins to go to city centre. We were made to feel very welcome. Her place is very close to bus lines, as well as cafes and restaurants. We ate some wonderful meals around her place and we really enjoyed staying in a real neighborhood. Would recommend this host very highly!
My Dad stayed at Sue's place during his week long visit in SF. Everything went very smoothly and he told me how helpful and hospitable Sue had been during his stay. Personally I also appreciated how seamlessly everything was handled including reminders and confirmation re the booking as well as check in and check out. I would overall highly recommend Sue and her BnB to anyone visiting the area
I love staying at Sue's Place, as she is happily willing to chat about my trip, or let me have a corner of her cozy house to myself to read or sketch. You put your own breakfast together according to your preferences from a well stocked refrigerator. I feel like being in a safe, inviting and homey place; not to mention having easy access to Cortland St., a great neighborhood to browse. A favorite activity is sitting on the deck and having afternoon tea, while viewing a breathtaking city scape.
Jim and I love staying at Sue's when we are in San Francisco. The place is quiet and lovely, with a beautiful view. It is also within walking distance of a great neighborhood, and close proximity to the Mission District where everything is popping. Best of all for Jim, Sue's guests can use the small hot tub in her beautiful garden. Sue is also a wonderful host who supplies plenty of nice breakfast materials. Her place is a very comfortable "home away fro home".
