One of the last remaining original fishermen's homes in Ballard. This cozy one-bedroom sits on pilings overlooking the bay's entrance to the historic Chittenden Locks. You can relax and watch the fishing vessels and pleasure cruisers coming and going or put a line in off the deck.
The home is also neighbor to the historic Salmon Bay Train Bridge, still in operation after 100 years. FYI there is also a friendly dog on the property named Koa who likes to visit our guests.

The space
The home is a one bedroom and can accommodate 2 adults. We can allow you to bring an infant or toddler if you supply your own sleeping accommodation for the child. It has a spacious kitchen and large dining table. The house has a large deck over the water and shares a stairway entrance with two neighbors.
Please be aware the house neighbors the Salmon Bay Train Bridge. It is often very noisy when the trains pass by. They pass by in the day and night.
FYI, if you leave the door open our dog/puppy Koa will try to come into the house. He is friendly, but has puppy manners. The entrance is a dutch door so if you want to have the breeze in and the dog out, you can just open the top half of the door.

Captain Keith moors his Grady White at our dock and runs private fishing charters in the Puget Sound. Guests can book fishing excursions with Spot Tail Guides at salmonguide dot com.

Guest access
You can access the garden, the house and the deck that wraps around the house and the BBQ. The pier adjacent to the house is not for guest use but they may use the pier to access the ramp to the lower dock. We kindly ask that guest maintain a 6 foot distance from the neighboring residents that share access to the pier and lower dock. Guest may access the lower dock at their own risk. Children 13 years old and under are strictly required to wear a life vest while on the pier and lower dock.

I'm a bit of a nomad. I've just resettled back in Seattle after living in Peru, New York, Costa Rica and Hawai'i. Most of my time away I was working in the coffee industry. I moved back to my home city to be close to family and to switch careers. I'm now working at Seattle Children's Hospital as a Family Service Coordinator. I love improv comedy, speaking Spanish and building home furnishings out of driftwood.
