Rustic Fisherman's Wharf is a cozy 2/1.5 cottage on a working waterman's canal. Ready to wake up to the sights and sounds of a thriving WORKING waterfront community? Life is measured by tides in Cedar Key.
Fisherman's Wharf is for YOU. Once a restaurant, now converted into a roomy 2 Bedroom cottage, you enjoy the sleeping porch with queen bed or the large "Captain's Quarters" with king bed, HUGE walk-in closet, and eastern sunbeams each morning.
Dogs are welcome.

The space
A bit rustic, we are a work in progress. The large open porch in front has a small charcoal grill. We offer a "prep" table, and canvas chairs for those wishing to visit while grilling today's catch.Come inside for a fully equipped kitchen, with prep island, TONS of counter space, electric range, coffee maker, microwave, and full sized refrigerator. The living room is an extension of the great room, with large screen flat TV,comfortable seating and a corner work desk. Wifi is included! We also have Direct TV for those "must stay in days".
We have a full bath with garden tub and walk-in shower. Half bath just inside the entrance, large laundry room for longer stays, with ironing board, we supply ALL the basics.
The Captain's Quarters features a king size bed,and for those beautiful days, has French doors to open to the multi-purpose porch for those salt laden breezes. The fully enclosed porch on the canal side doubles as sleeping porch with new queen bed, a table nook for enjoying the sights and sounds and SMELLS of a canal front property. Open the windows and feel like you are on a houseboat with the gentle whoosh of boat wakes making their way to the clam leases or oyster bars. You are next to they storage marina, bring your boat, enter the monthly "big fish" contest, get expert fishing advice, load up for YOUR fishing trip in the bountiful Gulf waters.
We were once a restaurant, then a clam processing plant, so our space is irregular, but VERY comfortable.
Pets are welcome, we will send a request for the $10 per day fee, or a weekly/monthly fee (one time) of $75 once you book.

Guest access
You have the entire cottage downstairs. There is a full time tenant in the COMPLETELY separate apartment upstairs, you share only the parking area. Separate entrance, separate stairs, the only shared space is parking.

As a licensed Realtor, I also manage a few select rental properties on the island of Cedar Key for guests to enjoy. We like offering the "real" Florida. I came to Cedar Key for a six week stay in 1977 and have never left. Please allow me to share those reasons with you!
