Where you’ll be

Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, Lower Normandy, France

The house is in the heart of the city center and shops, 30 meters from the fishing and recreational harbour and 200 meters from the beach. On Saturday mornings the regional market takes place around the corner.

The restaurants are 50 metres away: gourmet restaurants (fushias), simple and good (bisquine) and seafood specialties (auction). The oysters of Saint Vaast la Hougue are a local specialty, but you will also find mussels, lobsters and cakes.

At 50 meters you will discover the gourmet grocery store Gosselin : regional produce, fruits and vegetables, fresh produce, superb wine cellar and Whiskies. We also recommend the small apple/caramel brioches of the bakery which is located at the foot of the church 100 meters from the house. At the exit of the city you can pick up your organic and local fruits and vegetables at the "Verdura".

The Celtic Music Festival takes place in August on the island of Tatihou : you cross on foot at low tide, amid oyster parks, and you return once the concert is over before the tide rises.
