This home is managed by Tahoe Mt Properties. The cleaning fee includes an accidental damage waiver. Upon reservation confirmation, guests are required to provide an email address and sign our booking agreement, which is listed under the house rules. For adult vacations, all individuals must be 25 years or older per our insurance.

The space
Welcome to our charming historic retreat, originally built in the 1940s as a rectory, and now a serene escape located in the heart of downtown Truckee, right next to the Mountain Lotus Center and Yoga Studio.

Enjoy the convenience of walking to nearby restaurants and shops in historic downtown, all while taking in breathtaking views of Mt. Rose from the front and the tranquil Trout Creek from the back. This scenic Sierra destination is surrounded by hiking and biking trails, wildflower-filled meadows, golf, live music, and easy access to beautiful Donner Lake and Lake Tahoe. With accommodations for up to 12 guests across 10 beds, and ample parking spaces. This home is perfect for retreats, groups, and families. As part of your stay, you'll receive two complimentary guest passes per day to our world-class yoga studio. The Mountain Lotus Yoga Retreat House spans three levels, with the top two floors available for short-term retreat rentals.

On the second floor, you'll enter through a hallway that opens onto a spacious living room, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen, with a laundry room conveniently located at the end. To the left, you'll find a cozy study with a sofa bed, and a bedroom with trundle bunk beds — both connected by a full bathroom.

Further down the hall, another bedroom awaits with an en suite full bathroom. Upstairs, the expansive primary suite features a king-size bed; the room next to it has two twin beds. Then across is a smaller adjoining bedroom with bunk beds. The upstairs features a full bathroom with a shower and ample closet space, making it a comfortable and private retreat.

Please be aware that there is a downstairs, full-time below the home. Please be mindful.

There is no AC. To keep the property cool, open the windows and sliders at night to let cool air in, then close the windows, doors, and blinds when you leave for the day.

Rounding out this awesome property is a front porch with a table for two and a semi-private backyard area with patio furniture.

Mountain Lotus Yoga Studio and Cafe are right next door. Enjoy 2 complimentary yoga passes per day during your stay, and grab a meal at the Mountain Lotus Cafe. This property would be the perfect choice for yoga enthusiasts, or a friend or bachelorette party, or reunion. This space is in the heart of downtown Truckee, just a 1-minute walk to shopping, dining, and more. Enjoy being in the heart of Truckee on your next Tahoe getaway!

Other things to note
Please remember that living in the mountains and staying in a private home means that there are some things we cannot control. For example, weather and harsh conditions have knocked out Wifi and the power before. While these instances are rare, we please ask that you are patient as these are things that we unfortunately cannot control. While we will try to accommodate all requests, we handle refunds for situations like this (power outages, appliances breaking, etc.) on a case by case basis.

Winter 2024/2025: Propane Grills may not be accessible during winter months and propane is not monitored from Nov 1-May 1. Decks are shoveled for structural safety only and are not guaranteed to be free and clear of snow during the winter months.
