Robert and Gaby are great hosts ! The apartment is in a great location ! Just across the Lincoln Bridge, NJ Transit is just at the corner and leaves you at Port Authority in NYC. Easy from there: Subway, Hop On Hop Off (great deal: included three days, Empire State, Ferry to Liberty Statue and Ellis Island and touring around), walking, whatever your preference is. We did 3 days of Hop On Hop Off and walked the rest, was perfect ! what a great time !

We arrived early morning and our check in was 1pm. Gaby invited us to go directly to the house to drop our luggage. It was so convenient to NYC via uber or the bus. We walked the neighborhood to a grocery store and felt very safe. We took the bus home 3 nights and walked two very short blocks with beautiful views of the city. It was well lit and safe. Very friendly locals as well. The house was fantastic for our needs. I'm hoping it's available when I come back in the future. Thank you Gaby!! You are a fantastic host and the house is adorable!

My family and I had a great time in her house. She was very attentive and easy to reach. The house was clean and in good conditions. It was very good located and the bus stop was so close. I will definitely go again.

Gaby is lovely and very helpful. She gave us lots of information on the local area and how to get in to Manhattan. If we had any issues or needed anything, Gaby was always very quick to respond. In terms of the property - we booked ~#127 20th Street however Gaby "upgraded" us to one a few doors up #119. The property is spacious and as there were only 2 of us there was more than enough room. Its location is great - right opposite a beautiful reservoir which you can walk/run around with amazing views of Manhattan. Close by is a bus stop which takes you straight in to Port Authority, Manhattan and only takes about 10-15mins. The house itself is tired, a little grubby and in need of updating. The lounge is comfortable. The kitchen is usable but we couldn't find the cutlery as it was in a draw that we couldn't open ( as there were no handles and it was stiff) & there was no towels to dry the plates. The bedrooms are ok, the bedding was clean and the beds were comfortable. There were however no mirrors in the bedrooms and the bedside light in the front bedroom wasn't working as the plug socket was too far away for it to reach. The upstairs bathroom was awful. It was old and grotty. The shower was difficult to use as the water temperature kept changing. The water flow/pressure was so low you didn't really get wet and so it was nearly impossible to rinse your hair properly. There is a 'hairdryer' attached to the wall in the bathroom, but this wasn't strong enough to dry anyone's hair....make sure you take your own. The plug sockets in a few of the rooms were almost hanging off the wall & there was wire hanging from the wall in the hallway downstairs. There was an outside area (something we were looking forward to using in our originally booked property), however it wasn't particularly useable. It was in a messy garden overlooked by and overlooking a building site. There was also unexpected building work being carried out in the basement. The builder would arrive at 8am and bang, crash, drill, saw and shout. It would not have been an issue if we had been told about it. The cleaner arrived un-announced one day and tried to let herself in without even knocking - again about 8am! Overall - the house suited us as we didn't spend much time there, it was just a base and somewhere to sleep. It could be a beautiful comfortable house if they gave it a coat of paint and spent a few hundred dollars on the bathroom and other small repairs.
