Very good situation in barcelone, metro at 2 min!
Good communicatio with Sarai she's very helpful!!
I keep this adress foor my next visit, hope very soon!!
Sarai was a very friendly and open host. The flat looked just like at the photos, which is very cute, clean and renovated. Be aware of the lack of natural light, which can make you sleep forever in the morning! what this flat lacks (email hidden), and we hope it will be installed soon, as a traveller really needs this asset quite a lot. We LOVED the bed and epecially blanket (can you tell us where you bought it from? we're kinda ready to order it ASAP :) The neighbourhood is not very pretty/fun, but it's very close to the metro so you can go anywhere you like. All in all, the price-quality ratio is excellent and I will reccomend this flat for a comfortable stay.
House was very central located in a nice neighborhood with great tapas bars in walking distance and some supermarkets just around the corner.
However, the apartment seemed to be somehow odd. It was superficially clean, kitchen facilities were rather old and some of them broken, so was the bed, by the way.
As we haven't spent to much time in the aparment, heck it's Barcelona, the apartment totally fits lower standards.
Muy limpio y bueno! Cerca del metro Entenca y un supermercado! Le falta Wifi pero eso se arregla pronto!
Estamos en contacto! Gracias
I was so happy to find that this apartment was a cute as it looked in the photos. And quiet? This place was like a tomb! I loved it for our jet-lagged naps in the middle of the day. The beds are comfortable and Sarai was right there at the time she indicated.
The little porch made me feel like I was in a real Spanish apartment, so cute. There is a Catholic Church right across the street and for folks that need that, a great coffee place around the corner and an ATM. There is a fruit market across the street and a grocery store between you and the Metro. The Metro was very convenient. Unfortunately we also found out that the hospital was convenient, LOL.. and we loved the ladies in the pharmacy next door. They were a big help.
There was soap to wash the dishes but no bathroom soap, so plan for that. There was a washing machine but it looked complicated so I just washed a few things by hand and hung on the line, everything dried fast. I could see that there was laundry detergent, so if you went for that, the soap is there.
We were there for 4 nights and I would say that the only thing that struck me was that we each only had one towel for the entire time (plus a face towel) so you would have to manage that to make sure you were covered. Also, the hot water tank is very small and you really only have hot water for a small bath. I was not able to take what the typical American would consider a shower. This did not bother me at all, I just rolled with it. I suspect this is typical for a Spanish household. I spent 6 nights in Paris right after and noted that the hot water tank was 3 times the size, so it is probably an updated item.
The place was very clean and quiet and comfortable, I would highly recommend and I would stay again. I felt very safe, which was a concern for me after reading some of the blogs. Now that I have been to BCN I would never worry about my safety.. though some ladies in Paris told be they were pick-pocked.
There was not much to walk to (that I could find!) but the Metro is very affordable since the ticket can be used over and over for one hour and 15 minutes. While walking around, I often would jump on any bus and ride it around until I saw a Metro. Better than the tour bus!
The best place we ate was La Tagliatella, a small chain of Italian food.
