This is a cave house close to the historic city center, within walking distance of the tapas bars and bars and close to all major attractions. The house has one bedroom with matrimonial bed, living room with sofa double bed, kitchen and bathroom well equipped
From the entrance to the caves there are magnificent views of the Alhambra. The bar area is steps within 5 minutes walk you reach the Paseo de los Tristes and 15 minutes you will reach Plaza Nueva (downtown). A few steps from the main house are the flamenco show caves (tarantos, Zoraya Gardens .. Camborio)
The neighborhood is located on a hill full of caves above the Rio Darro and opposite the Alhambra. The neighborhood is famous for flamenco, and cobblestone streets, white houses with balconies full of flowers are typical of Andalusia. This is the quintessential bohemian neighborhood, famous for its music, art and 2duende "flamenco art that represents each night in their" zambras ".
The Sacromonte is a hill with spectacular views of the Alhambra.
The festivities are held in the Sacromonte during the first decade of August
las llaves se recogen desde las 12 hasta las 10 de la noche
la casa se netrega limpia y hay que entregarla de la misma manera
la hora oficial de salida son las 12 de la mañana, aunque podemos guardaros las maletas hasta la tarde
Unfortunately, although we mentioned we would stay at the cave as our Honey Moon, nothing (extra) was provided. No welcome package, nothing in the fridge, no tourist information, no map.... Blanca did provide information via email but once you are there, you are lost (especially in Sacromonte/Albacin) if nobody gives clear directions. Blanca herself didn't welcome us but her friend. That was ok but her friendly friend didn't speak any English at all... So no possibility to ask questions or no possibility to understand although her friendlyness : ( The cave was nice and clean, a true experience. It had 3 towels, toilet paper, but no extras. Unfortunately the cups were not clean and there was not enough cutlery. A water cooker would have been nice too. Also a few lamps didn't work which was not nice since we lived in a cave that needs light. In general we had a good stay but the details were missing which would have made our stay even better.
We loved staying in this charming little house in the best neighbourhood in Granada. Even though the weather was a quite chilly outside it was always cosy inside. The street is quiet and away from the tourists but still close enough to wander around quite easily. We would definitely go there again!
Beautiful location, great view of the Alhambra from Bar Pibe (lovely free tapas with drinks in the evening watching the sunset). Loved wandering around the local area and an easy downhill walk into centro, €6 taxi to come back up! Cave house is great and very unusual (a bit dark but to be expected!). Had a wonderful stay.
When else will you get a chance to stay in a cave house?? We found this stay a very unique and fun experience, not only for the house itself but the neighborhood too (tip: venture up the path to get a more laid back drink + Alhambra view experience with Pepe's bar stand) Some people mentioned it gets too hot- we did not experience any temperature issues at all. Kitchen equipped sufficiently. Minimalist bathroom. One issue is cellphone signals are hard to come by inside, but this is the kind of place where you would want to disconnect anyway!
We didn't meet Blanca but the mail and telephone contact was really nice. The apartment is perfect for two people. You have to carry you language some steps up to a road with no Car access.
