Hi ... I hope I can be your host and offer a great experience staying in my city centre apartment!
I check my email constantly and endeavour to reply to all emails very promptly as I know it helps you plan ... PLEASE CONTACT ME TO CONFIRM AVAILABILITY BEFORE YOU SEND A BOOKING REQUEST ... Thanks!
This listing is for a private room with a double bed that can fit two people. Kitchen space and living room space can be made available sometimes as a free extra but is not always guaranteed. There is access to a fridge at all times to keep your drinks cold and the room has tea and coffee making facilities.
Room 2 and Room 1 are contained in Apartment A with the bathroom shared with the two bedrooms.
People book through airbnb to get local information and a friendly welcome in your host's home rather than a neutral sterile apartment - I hope you will enjoy your stay in my home with myself and any other guests visiting Dublin. Dublin is a great city - ready to welcome you!
I am 4 minutes walk from the Luas (tram) Red line which is a direct link to the National Convention Centre and my home is within very easy walking distance of anywhere in the city centre!
Please check the availability of each listing I offer on it's calender as they can differ ..... thanks! - its always worthwhile to message me anyway ... as I can sometimes have availability at the last minute!
It's nice to know who might be coming to stay so if you can please fill me in just a little on your group and your overall travel plans!
I live in Dublin city centre in Smithfield just 10 mins walk from the heart of Dublin and it's principal 'boulevard' O'Connell Street and the cool social/bar/restaurant quarter - Temple Bar.
In addition there is a host of shops/restaurants/bars located just steps from your Dublin home from home - see the gallery of pics for some cool places at your doorstep! I have a lot of experience in hosting people and showing people my city – I love talking about recent irish history and my apartment looks onto the Four Courts building – one of the many historical buildings in Dublin! I have a keen interest in photography and am happy to point you towards some Dublin gems!
I can leave you to your own schedule or am happy to suggest good things to do and see, both in Dublin and in the surrounding countryside and beyond .... from galleries and museums to shopping to country / historical walks – just ask – I am happy to point you in the right direction – Dublin awaits you!
There are many tourist attractions such as Jameson Distillery and National Museum, Collins Barracks along with the famous Cobblestone Bar, renowned for irish music and a good pint of Guinness, right at your doorstep! Just across Dublin's principal river, the Liffey, is St. James' Gate - home of Guinness since 1759!
Parking is available at an additional cost - I have negotiated a reduced 24 hour fee of €10 at a nearby secure carpark or you can opt for the overnight rate of €4 from (phone number hidden).

Rory was a gracious host. He was extremely helpful with directions, ideas of sights to see and a vast array of restaurants suggestions in the area. I would definitely recommend staying with him. The only thing is that it is quite a walk to Grafton/Stephens Green, but if you don't mind walking it is great!
Megan - thanks for your nice review - just for future guests, the location of the apartment is just 15 minutes walk to Temple Bar, O'Connell St , Trinity College - Stephen's Green is just a further ten minute's walk along Grafton St - unless you want to make the city centre smaller or stay in party central, Temple Bar, I think most guests like the central location just a short stroll away from the 'maddening crowds' ;) Hope to see you and Chris again! Rory
I enjoyed my stay at Rory's.
He is a very helpfull and communicative host.
His apartement is well located.
Rory is such an incredibly attentive and kind host - I really enjoyed my stay in his apartment. The bed was very comfortable, everything felt welcoming and clean. I would book this room again and again :)
Rory was an amazing host!! His response time is incredible and he provided very detailed instructions and recommendations. He truly cares about you having a great time in his city, but he also gives you plenty of space to do your own thing.
Minor issue with the plumbing on the last day that I was there... a piece broke on the hot water pump for the shower. Rory took care of it right away and even got me a one day pass at the gym next door to make sure I could take a hot shower before my morning flight. Rory totally went above and beyond his host duties and took care of all of the arrangements.
Stay with Rory, you won't be disappointed!
PS - All of the places Rory recommends are great, but The Cobblestone made my trip!
Rory was a great host. My flight arrived early in the morning, yet he was still able to have my room ready by mid-morning, so I could drop off my things before going sightseeing. He was very helpful in helping me plan my day in Dublin. He provided a map with local places to eat and routes that would get me around the city. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. It was a quiet neighborhood which made the stay relaxing.
Very good option for the price. Central, though not in the middle of the tourist hotspots -- easily walkable from both the center-of-the-center and the Dublin Airport Aircoach stop. Rory provides a wealth of prep information and recommendations.
Rory was an excellent host! We were only in Dublin for one night, so he got us a taxi and sent us off the the Guinness Storehouse so we could get there before it closed. Very helpful with recommendations and explaining the public transit so that we could get to the airport in the morning. I definitely recommend staying here, thank you Rory!
We stayed my girlfriend and I a few days at Rory's place. It was really great ! We had such a wonderful weekend !!! Rory is a really nice guy. He is funny and he helped us a lot in order to know what to do in Dublin. No need to go to the tourism office, Rory is more than enough to know the best things to do in Dublin !
His apartment is nice, we slept well and it's really not to far from temple bar (10 minutes walking).
I really recommend his place if you want to visit Dublin !!!!
You should also go to a small restaurant which serves boxty dishes. Really good restaurant !!!!!
Rory's a lovely host! We had a great time, the place is immaculate and we felt completely at home. He was very helpful pointing out all the places we should go, what to do and where was nice to eat. Unfortunately we didn't have much time in Dublin so we didn't get to do everything but will definitely be back and hopefully he'll have room for us then! Thank you so much again!
Rory was a great host! Very accommodating and helpful! Check in and check out was easy and Rory gave us pointers on fun things to do in Dublin - thanks Rory! The bedroom has everything you need and is very comfortable.
I would recommend staying at Rory's for sure!
Thanks again Rory!
