Once the parish priest's residence, it is across the street from a small church and there is a small cemetery on the 10-acre property. Restructured in traditional Tuscan manner, terra cotta floors, windows opening onto hills filled with olive trees and organic vegetable garden.
Centrally located outside of Chiusi, Italy, close to A1 freeway and railway, 1.5 hours from Rome and Florence, close to Siena and many other Tuscan and Umbrian cities, wine country and thermal spas.
Parking, cable tv, free wifi, and individual heating in all apartments, each of which include separate kitchens as well as bathrooms with standing showers and bidets. Nearby to supermarkets as well as outdoor, open-air markets. Villa is on a country road that leads into wine and olive groves, perfect for long walks or runs.
English speaking American and Italian hosts available for suggestions for day trips, restaurants in the area, and more.
Perfect for a private getaway or for a group retreat, ideal for those who want an authentic Tuscan experience!
View of the front of the house: upstairs is two bedroom apartment, downstairs the studio / one-bedroom
This Tuscan farmhouse is charming and comfortable. There are 2 small apartments downstairs. I would not stay in those since there are no screens and not many windows to give light. However, the upstairs apartment has screens and more windows giving light. Upstairs has 2 bedrooms. For us being older sleeping on a bed that is low to the floor hurts your back. The kitchen is good to work in but there is no microwave. Emma is American so communication with her was easy for us. She is very pleasant and
helpful. The property is private and the setting is beautiful on 10 acres of olive trees.
Emma's property is welcoming and enchanting, as well as perfectly maintained (by all American standards).
She is a charming and warm young lady, who demonstrated patience (we where 3 hours late), sense of humor, and hospitality. She welcomed us with a bowl of hand picked figs, home made olive oil, cheese and a bottle of Prosecco.
All we needed were there for us: bunch of recommendations and maps.
The villa is conveniently located close to the main roads, surrounded by an olive grove. Pictures do not give justice to the charm of this place.
We will recommend it to all of our friends travailing to Tuscany.
We wish we stayed there at least a week (it is plenty of things to do and discover)
Thank you Emma and best of luck with your dissertation!

Villa is perfect if you want your out of the way and totally chilled area of Tuscany. Everything there that you could possibly need and more. Only issue was wifi speed but cannot blame the hosts for that, network issues. Fully recommend for families, couples and all, if you stay here you have to go to chianciano therm spa, sooo relaxing.
It took us several tries to locate the road where the villa is situated. In the end Emma met us at the top of the road and guided us to the property.
Once there we were very pleased with what we found. We had the whole place to ourselves. The guests before us had left a few great food and drink items for us, which we enjoyed very much. Other than no toaster, we had everything we needed except it would have been nice to have internet.
In the end it was fun to use the oven to make our breakfast toast.
We enjoyed meeting Emma and learning a bit about our host, who came from Rome to get us set up.
We found the villa location good, for visiting the hill towns of Montepulciano, Pienza and Montalcino.

We spent a very nice week in Emma's house in a beautiful toscany land ! Unfortunately we didn't meet Emma but she told every informations than we needed ! The house is really practical with all furnitures and we really enjoyed the BBQ outside with a beautiful view on the olives trees ! The area is just next to the highway so perfect to go in Roma (2h approximately), Firenze (1h30), Sienna (1h) and the beach (1h30/2h approximately) ! We could discover lot of place in italia and enjoy to come back at Emma's house the evening to share a good diner ! And our bed was so confortable with lot of pillows !
We had a lovely stay at the Farmhouse which has been cleverly divided into three apartments. We all had our privacy but came together for meals which was lovely. The house is central and makes it easy to visit both Umbria and Tuscany. 2 hrs more or less from everywhere. Highly recommend it. The views are stunning
Our stay at this Tuscan Villa couldn't have been better. Emma gave us great directions to her place from the highway, and we arrived to find a local bottle of wine waiting for us! We enjoyed cooking (with ingredients bought at the nearby supermarket and olive oil from Emma's trees!), and we were glad to do our laundry as we were about halfway through our vacation. We took day trips to various places in Tuscany that Emma recommended. The place was nicely furnished and had everything we needed. Everything was exactly as advertised - except the pictures don't do it justice! We would love to return one day.
