Comfortable with stylish industrial decor. Unique extra touches. Great location for restaurants and touring downtown Jacksonville.

Danielle is a very helpful host. She is very accommodating to changes. She replays on messages quickly. The place is nice, modern looking, exactly as promoted on the pictures. The location is convenient, close to shops and a riverside walk. I would recommend it to anyone who comes to the city for holidays.

The apartment was amazing, decorated with care and great style. The bed was comfortable, and there was more than enough space for two people. Wifi was great, TV was great, appliances worked well, and overall we loved it there. Everything one could need in a furnished apartment was there, except the mailbox key, which was an issue. It was clean, close to the highway and downtown, close to shops, and restaurants were in walking distance. It's not the nicest part of San Marco (being at the end near the river) but it seemed safe enough. The locks on the doors and coded entry were great, making up for any question in safety. The upstairs tenants were pretty loud, and the air conditioner is loud when it turns on, so it will wake a light sleeper. We were contacted 6 times on short notice for entry into the apartment (changing thermostat, updating wifi, changing air filter, etc.) which was way too much and felt invasive. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to a friend.

I stayed at The Whetherley Loft for about 3 and a half months while on a temporary work assignment. The location was perfect. It was walking distance from the office, restaurants and entertainment. If I needed to drive anywhere, I could hop onto I-95 in about two minutes. The area is surrounded by active businesses and seemed safe. The loft itself is beautiful. The photos are very representative of the actual space. With a full kitchen, as well as a washer/dryer, it was a self-contained home away from home. Parking is conveniently located right in front of the building. I only had a parking issue once, and I think it was because one of the neighbors was having a party and the guests took up all the spots. I had some very minor maintenance issues come up; but Danielle took care of those immediately. The neighbors I met were nice and pleasant. For the most part the building is quiet. A few times the upstairs neighbors would play music late at night, or a dog would bark or whine, but this didn’t happen regularly. Danielle is a great host. She was always available and responsive and knows the city very well. She also has other properties in the building. If you need to be in downtown Jacksonville for an extended amount of time, one of Danielle’s units in Home Street Lofts is the way to go.

We stayed at Danielle's loft for almost 2 months. I have previously stayed at over 20 AirBnB places-- I can honestly say that Danielle is one of, if not the best, hosts of an AirBnB rental that I have encountered. She does it as a business and it shows. As random small things came up during our 2 month stay, she responded very quickly, professionally, pleasantly, and in general is was obvious that it was important to her that renters were happy and getting what they paid for. She is an excellent AirBnb host who will go out of her way to make sure your stay is great. The loft itself is very nice. Spacious, modern, has everything you would need (TV w Cable, full kitchen, furniture, washer/dryer, etc). The building it is in is all lofts, mainly privately owned. The pictures on this site are very accurate of the interior. The area the loft is in is just on the south end of San Marco's 'nice' retail district. The immediate area is not the nicest part of San Marco, but is safe. Basically directly under 95 which is not the most pleasant view. As others have alluded to, there are neighbors that can be heard at various times of the day/night (specifically a small dog barks during the day and someone above plays music throughout the night 1-2x per week). One apparently accused us of smoking ( we don't) prompting a phonecall within minutes of our arrival. Otherwise everyone we encountered seemed nice. Parking is right outside the door and was never a problem. Also the loft is on the street level and has large windows-- Danielle has installed privacy shades that do not allow someone to see inside the unit, but to keep this privacy requires keeping the shade down during the day which keeps the unit pretty dark. Street noise basically goes away after rush hour. Overall, a good option to be in San Marco for a long-term rental and Danielle will be very responsive to any issue that may arise when you are staying there.

Hello! I have put a lot of LOVE into the Home Street Loft. It has been fun turning it into such a warm environment while maintaining it's urban heritage. I live and work in the urban core of Jacksonville Florida. Welcome.
