Casa del Bambu: A spacious retreat with a king bed in the bedroom, a twin bed in the living room (another second twin bed upon request), A/C, two smart TVs, high-speed Starlink WiFi, a large bath with a hot shower, and hot water at every faucet. Enjoy cooking in the fully equipped, screened-in semi-outdoor kitchen and unwind on the serene terrace amid lush landscaped gardens, just a 5-minute drive to Puerto Jiménez, close to beaches, restaurants, banks, and amenities.

Experience the beauty and tranquility of our spacious 2,800-square-meter property, thoughtfully landscaped with a lush, fully fenced garden and a vibrant variety of tropical fruit trees—enjoy bananas, coconuts (pipa), plantains, lemons, avocados, starfruit, and more, right on the grounds. For your convenience, covered parking is located just steps from your front door.
Your home, Casa Bambu, offers complete seclusion with a private patio that is not visible from the other Airbnb unit (Casa Josh del Bambu) on the property.
My co-host Josh lives in a separate, smaller casita, oriented in a different direction to ensure your peace and quiet.
Bambu is a tranquil neighborhood in Puerto Jiménez known for its peaceful atmosphere and lush surroundings. The area offers a quiet retreat away from busy tourist spots, perfect for relaxation and nature immersion (scarlet macaws, toucans, and parrots are frequent visitors at our property). Our property is just a quick 5-minute drive (3 km) from the heart of Puerto Jiménez.
This prime location makes Casa Bambu the perfect starting point for your adventure to the world-famous Corcovado National Park—one of the planet’s most biodiverse destinations. The boat ramp for Corcovado tours is also only five minutes away, making excursions easy and effortless.
The Osa Peninsula is surrounded by pristine, uncrowded beaches such as Playa Platanares, Playa Preciosa, and Playa Matapalo—perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and surfing, all set against the backdrop of lush rainforest and the sparkling Golfo Dulce.
Whether you’re seeking relaxation or adventure, you’ll find endless activities nearby:

You can access the property through a metal gate (Casa del Bambu metal sign is on the gate). On the same property, there is our other Airbnb rental (Casa Josh Del Bambu) as well as my co-host Josh's Casita. You will share the same entrance metal gate with Josh. The other rental house has their own entrance gate from the street. Your house is entirely separate and private from the other houses. Casa del Bambu has it's own private entrance door and your own private terrace, patio, and parking.

Notes on the house and surroundings:
There are occasional power outages as well as frequent short power surges, which are common in the area and all of Costa Rica. We cannot take responsibility for any internet outages or other inconveniences the power outages might cause.
The house is located in a rural agricultural neighborhood with farmland. Despite routine efforts to control unwanted pests, you may encounter a bug or ants near and inside the home.
Our rural neighborhood consists of around 20 other Costa Rican family homes. Please note that you will hear the occasional dog barking outside, and sometimes there will be music playing from neighbors. Especially on weekends, the music level can sometimes be a bit louder in the evenings. However, apart from this, the neighborhood is quiet and chill.
The rental house is for the exclusive use of our guests on the reservation. However, the 2800 square meter property is shared with 1 other rental home and my co-host’s casita.
All patios are located in a way to offer you complete privacy. However, you might see Josh, my gardener, or other guests around the gardens of the property on occasion. The laundry room and drying area is shared between all houses on the property.

Casa del Bambu is located in a quiet rural neighborhood called "Bambu". Next to the Casa del Bambu property, we have another rental unit called "Casa Josh de Bambu". Both are entirely separate homes and have their privacy. You have your own garden, patio, and entrance gate at Casa Josh.
The street out front of the rental home is a dead-end road with a few more houses and families further down that same road. The neighborhood of Bambu is around a 5-minute drive (3 km) from Puerto Jimenez, where you can find restaurants, grocery stores, banks, the beach, and tour offices. In Bambu, there is also a small kiosk and supermarket, which is around 1 km from the rental property. We also offer express delivery service of cooked food, and groceries, for a small fee of $2.
Right around the corner, around a 5-minute walk, there is a primary and secondary forest with all 4 monkey species, sloth, coati, agouti, Tyra, pumas, ocelot, and more! The "Bambu hill" forest is connected to the world-famous Corcovado National Park, so all animals that are found there can also be found here. Often you can hear the howler monkeys from the distance on your front porch in the early mornings (howling over at the forest around 5 minutes walk away).
If you're into birding, there is ample opportunity to bird-watch. We have toucans, scarlet macaws, parrots, and hummingbirds right on our property, as well as Trogons, Red-capped Manakins, and Torquoise Mot Mot right around the corner in the forest.
