A private, secluded pet-free North GA mountain cabin property with spectacular long-range, layered mountain views. Close to downtown Blue Ridge and Lake Blue Ridge and all area activities.

The space
Whispering Waters sits on a private two-acre lot and features a stream running next to the house and breathtaking long-range views of Brasstown Bald and the surrounding mountain ranges.

With all of the surrounding nature, the beautiful backdrop of the long-range views, and the peaceful soundtrack provided by the stream, your experience will be different each stay depending on when you visit. Beautiful dogwoods, flame azaleas and mountain laurel bloom in the spring; fireflies carpet the valley in early summer; katydids chirp in unison in late summer; autumn brings brilliant colors and the sound of crickets; and snow blankets the trees in winter. Every morning produces a stunning performance as the sun rises over the distant mountains.

Designed for comfort, relaxation, and entertaining inside and out, the recently updated cabin is constructed of pine top to bottom, with new windows and doors throughout to better appreciate the views. The main living area, with its wood-burning stone fireplace, dimmer-controlled chandeliers, leather sofa with two built-in recliners, and the 12-foot glass French doors/sidelights facing the deck, is staged to maximize the function of the open floor plan. The 55” flat screen Smart TV is on a swivel mount that allows for viewing from all directions. DISH Network satellite TV, high-speed WiFi, a DVD player, and a land-line telephone are all available.

The kitchen is fully stocked with every appliance, gadget, and serving piece you’ll need to prepare all of your meals; crock pot, Keurig coffee maker, toaster, microwave, Nespresso machine, drip coffee maker, electric griddle, electric frying pan, hand mixer, blender, toaster, and rice cooker. The dining table seats six, but expands with leaves to accommodate ten, and there’s seating for two on leather bar stools at the granite-topped kitchen island.

Fire up the gas grill and enjoy a barbecue on the massive front deck which features a picnic table with umbrella and seating for six, and two folding deck chairs and side table for soaking up the sun. And when the weather turns, the wood-beamed, vaulted roof covering the remainder of the deck allows you to enjoy the mountain air in any type of weather and includes four rocking chairs next to a stone hand-built masonry wood-burning fireplace with a huge firebox. A round dining room table with seating for six, ceiling fans with dimmable lighting, and sconces flanking the fireplace providing indirect lighting are perfect for creating a dramatic evening meal.

At the end of the day you can soak your cares away in the 6-person hot tub located on a private patio at the far side of the cabin. A lift-assist cover system, and wide wooden steps allow easy access to the hot tub. Its location is perfect for privacy, while maintaining the beautiful view and sounds from the adjacent stream.

When it’s time to retire for the night, you’ll slumber in comfort in either of the two master bedrooms, both featuring king-sized beds with Tempur-Pedic mattresses, Pottery Barn duvets and high thread count linens. Both rooms also feature ceiling fans, large wall hooks for hanging clothing and towels, digital clocks with USB ports for charging your cell phones, and 40” flat screen Smart TVs. The main level master has a walk-in closet and a full-glass door to access the front deck and views, and the upstairs master has an en-suite bathroom with granite vanity, pine floors, and a walk-in glass corner shower.

The main floor bathroom contains a walk-in full size glass shower with overhead lamp heating, granite vanity and porcelain tile flooring.

Also on the main floor is a bunk room tailor-made for kids, with twin bunk beds and built-in storage steps, a twin trundle bed, a large bay window with window seat, a round gaming table with two chairs, a floor lamp, colorful wall hooks for hanging clothing and wet towels, a 40” flat screen Smart TV, and a digital clock with a USB port for charging their games/cell phones. A built-in bookshelf houses games, books, magazines, puzzles, dominoes, and playing cards for your entertainment pleasure. A small closet holds plenty of hangers and houses the leaves for the dining room table. A second larger closet contains the full-size washer and dryer, and bedding for the trundle bed.

Perfect for families with older children, couples, and getaways with your best friends, Whispering Waters offers a calm, cozy, and secluded retreat from the stresses of everyday life in a magnificent setting. You’ll cherish those peaceful memories long after you’ve left the mountains behind.
