The perfect opportunity for a female solo traveler seeking beauty and solitude with immediate access to the 10 and 57 freeways. The neighborhood consists of established large properties, many of which have horses. My home is 15 minutes to the Claremont Colleges, approximately 20 minutes to Pasadena, and 30 - 45 minutes of most major attractions, Los Angeles, and beach cities. It's on a gated 3 acre property with established oak trees and lovely patio area perfect for relaxing. Have internet access. Kitchen privileges/large plasma tv and wifi (no cable t.v.). There's a small bathroom with a sink and toilet that would be yours to use exclusively however the bath/shower is in my own personal bathroom so that must be shared. Cozy private room with single bed. Secluded, safe and secure.
The city was incorporated in 1901. It would be orange and grapefruit trees, not vineyards, that would soon blanket the area and make it famous. By 1909, the city was the third largest orange producer in the world, and it still claimed to have "the best oranges in the world" as late as the 1950s. Since World War II, however, the orange groves have been largely replaced by single family and multiple family dwellings.
Norma is such an incredible host! I have stayed with her many nights off and on, as I am working locally to where she lives and it has been the best experience! Norma is super layed back, her home is so charming and the accommodations are very cozy! I am continuing to stay with her, as she makes it so easy to relax in her home. Highly recommend her home if you are looking to escape it all and be surrounded by a beautiful property.
I had a lovely stay at Norma's home. The property is beautiful, peaceful and the pictures do not do it justice! Norma was such a wonderful host. Very easy going and mellow. She also makes a great pot of coffee! Tons of breakfast options and a very cozy room. I am working nearby and this is the perfect place for me to stay while I have business in the area. Easy access to the 10 fwy. I highly recommend staying here and plan to often :)
Norma was very welcoming and made me feel at home. Everything was clean and comfortable and the space and property is private and relaxing.
Norma is the best host ever. She makes a guest truly feel welcome in her home.
This is the second time I've stayed at this lovely, peaceful place in Covina. My experience again was great and I plan to book again soon!
This was my second great stay with Norma. Everything is as described and pictured in her listing. She accomodated me even though my request was kind of last-minute, and she had friends coming over. She was worried they would bother ME, not vice versa! Norma is a friendly cheerful host and I highly recommend her place.
This is a lovely home and Norma is a most gracious host. She allows a guest "quiet time" when needed and is also considerate of her guest's schedule. Norma makes her guest feel "at home" and is so pleasant to speak with. She even offered morning coffee, juice and other easy breakfast foods to get the day started just right.
I'm from Southern California and enjoy travelling (of course!), making new friends, the outdoors, photography, gardening, reading, sampling different cuisines, and diving.
