Welcome to The La Jolla Beach Cottage! A beautiful beach cottage located in the heart of the La Jolla Village and La Jolla Cove. Newly remodeled duplex, featuring a well-equipped kitchen, hardwood floors, dining room that seats six comfortably, and a large front yard with outdoor dining area and BBQ. Original art can be found throughout our home, and we also have an eclectic library of books. For guests who arrange in advance we offer rides around La Jolla in our 1963 Chevy Corvair Monza. Walk out of the cottage, take a left, and you'll be steps away from two of La Jolla's most beautiful beaches, Marine Street Beach and Windansea Beach.
We're a 15-minute drive from downtown San Diego, the Airport, and SeaWorld. The cottage has easy access to a bus stop, a nearby park and the neighborhood is a nice and quiet street, perfect for an evening sunset stroll.
There are grocery stores, delicious restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. The La Jolla Cove offers a great shopping experience as well.
We welcome you to our home!

We just loved this sweet cottage! It was very nice decorated and we got a nice and refreshing welcome gift when we arrived. The garden was lovely and so was the location. We would love to come back!
Patrick and Lani's' home is a delight, hosting myself and my son Tom. Immaculately clean, fresh and extremely homely in a great location. Great feel of space in a tranquil setting. Superb kitchen, cozy lounge and comfortable beds. Lani and Patrick were charming and extremely helpful during our correspondences, This was my third airbnb experience and based on this wonderful stay it will not be the last. Thank you Patrick and Lani, really memorable.
We loved staying at Lani & Patrick's Beach Cottage. It was the perfect place for us to stay while we were in town for a wedding. Plus, it's the cutest little house on the planet! I loved all the artwork, colorful walls, and character of the house.
Lani was easy to communicate with and helpful. The dishwasher wasn't working when we arrived, but she called to tell us and arranged to have it looked at during our stay -- although she let us decide if we felt comfortable having someone come over, which was very considerate of her. It ended up needing more maintenance, so we washed our dishes by hand, but we didn't mind.
The bedroom I stayed in had a very comfortable mattress with a very thick foam topper on it and amazing sheets. It made me want to stay in bed all day, but there were too many fun things to do in La Jolla for that to happen! I believe the other bed was equally comfortable, but I cannot attest to the fact personally.
The kitchen was well stocked with gadgets, the tiny water bottles left by the beds were a life saver in the heat, there were tons of bath and beach towels, and room in the dressers and closets to put clothes.
The front yard was a major perk -- we loved hanging out there and even grilled one of the nights. The living room was comfortable and had a good amount of seating - plenty for our group of 5. The desk came in very handy. It doubled as a vanity for when we were getting ready for the wedding.
The only semi-negative thing was that the house did get very hot while we were out and the windows were shut, but once we came back and could open all the windows, it cooled off quickly.
Very cute cottage in a great location. The home was clean and everything was in order. The only critique I have is it would have been nice to know that parking is street only and that during the busy summer months parking can be quite tight. If anyone is traveling that cannot walk more than a few blocks this would not be the right place for you. I live somewhere that parking is always difficult and it would have been nice to at least know ahead of time what I may have to look forward to. We traveled with our two little children so not ideal, but it worked out fine. But certainly for folks who cannot or do not want to walk a few blocks during the summer the only time of the day you will be guaranteed to find open parking is in the morning. The rest of the day is busy, busy, busy. Otherwise we loved the house and would certainly travel there again. Also, keep in mind that while there is usually a breeze to keep things cool, you will likely need to use the fans that are provided during the hotter summer months to keep things cool in the back bedrooms that don't receive quite as much ventilation as the front bedrooms.
The beach cottage was perfect for our stay! Lani & Patrick were very easy to communicate with and their extra special touches throughout the house made our stay that much better. We loved having coffee on the front patio in the morning and the location is ideal- very walkable to the beach, grocery store and restaurants. We'd definitely stay here again if it's available the next time we're in town.
Fabulous! Super easy walk to the beach. Home is darling. Lani contacted us a few hours ahead of the check in time to let us know the house was ready early. Our adult daughter called this house our best airbnb rental ever!
This was our first experience with Airbnb and it was a wonderful one. Lani and Patrick's house was perfect for celebrating our daughter's graduation family cookout! Lani and Patrick greeted us with a bottle of champagne and chocolates, just like the website picture and the house was beautifully decorated, organized and clean! Lani was so nice and accommodating with every need.
We would definitely recommend their place and come back to enjoy more of beautiful La Jolla. Thank you, Lani & Patrick!
