About this listing
Welcome to le Barny's!
Le Barny’s is the name that my friends have given to my apartment, as a tongue-in-cheek reference to my alias Barnabé Jasmin, a friendly born-and-raised Parisian, curious about things and people, who loves to host his friends
Le Barny’s is a genuine luminous 325 sq. feet / 49 sq. meters apartment. Includes:
•one comfortable living and dining room with original wooden floor;
•one fully equipped American kitchen with grill,
•one bathroom with a spacious tub,
•one double bedroom and closet.
•For shiny start at breakfast, or romantic diner under the stars, one lovely real balcony
I wanted my apartment to be open, colorful and welcoming.
•From morning to evening, light is shared through sliding glass doors and partition walls, specially designed and aligned in the apartment.
•Colors were picked to reflect my usual moods: room is blue for a peaceful start of day, and tribute to best summer vacations, bathroom is sea-green and metal for a soothing wake-up or refreshing early evening preparation, living room and kitchen are carbon grey and old rose for modern, creative and chilling moments with friends
•Most of the pictures, paintings and other decorations were made or offered by my friends. I really do think they all fit in perfectly.
Le Barny’s is looking forward to welcoming you!
Le Barny’s is fully equipped, among which:
•Washing Machine and Dryer
•Towels and clean linen is provided
•BBQ Grill for a healthy meal

•Perfectly located, only 5’ away from Père Lachaise, Mama Shelter Hotel and Terrace Bar designed by Starck.
•For cultural evenings: Theater de la Colline, La Fleche d’Or (Live Music), and Movie Theater. All at walking distance.
•For a daily experience of Paris, Rue des Pyrenees. Perfect representation of the Parisian friendly neighborhood and convenience stores. Among which, Philippe Bogner’s bakery, TOP 10 of best baguette, at the official Grand Prize de la baguette in 2011.
Extremely well served, public transportation: Taxis or Velib (City Bicycles)
Metro 3 and various bus lines take you quickly to :
- Pere Lachaise, République, Sentier (Montorgueil, le Marais), Haussman (Galeries Lafayette), Opera, Belleville (La Bellevilloise - Restaurant & Evenings), Bastille, Saint Paul and le Marais, Hotel de Ville and Notre Dame de Paris, Rivoli and Le Louvres.
- On weekends, take bus 26 and discover Parc des Buttes Chaumont, famous for its mixed crowd of traditional jewish families, gay hipsters and Bobos (Bourgeois Bohème).

Please note : You are responsible for your personal belongings in the apartment and during your journey. The host is not responsible for your valuables missing from the premises. In the unlikely case of theft, it is your responsibility to file a report at the police station (behind Mairie de Gambetta) within 24hours, and to notify the host. As in every big city, pay attention to pickpockets in Paris, they are everywhere and look for nice and kind tourists. Usually act in small groups of 2 to 3 kids.
Highly recommended. Jean-Marc's apartment is a clean, cozy, comfortable apartment. The apartment is light with a bedroom sunrise and a balcony or living area sunset. The neighbourhood is quiet. Transport for Metro, bus etc are very close to the apartment, and grocery shops, patisseries etc. Jean-Marc was always available with prompt email response. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your delightful apartment.
This was my second stay at Jean-Marc's wonderful, sunny, clean, well-appointed apartment in a quiet neighborhood in the 20th (and close to public transportation). This year, I found the added amenities of even faster internet speed (I was working part of the time I was there), and a great selection of English-language television channels--great for watching the world-cup matches! Jean-Marc is a very well-organized and generous host. He helped me make several taxi reservations and provided me with lots of information about the neighborhood markets and other tips. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
Jean-Marc was a great host and we had a very nice stay at his place. He was so friendly: he even gave a bottle of wine as welcome for us! Everything was perfect and as described.
Thank you so much!

Jean-Marc was a great host and we had a very nice stay at his place. His apartment is very cosy with a nice balcony to enjoy a great part of Paris!
He was very accommodative and even left us a bottle of wine and train tickets!
