Rick was an excellent host! My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rick's home - very homey and cosy and everything was so clean and tastefully decorated. A very pleasant place to come home to! The place is very close to Forsyth park, which is a great park to run/walk in, and about a 15 minute walk to downtown (a brisk and pleasant walk). Only thing I would note is that there wasn't very much storage space in the room, as the closet and drawers were mostly already filled. This wasn't a big problem for us as we were just there for a short time, but perhaps something to note for longer stays. All in all, would definitely recommend staying here!
The listing description was accurate. The upstairs bedroom was quiet, clean and very comfortable.
I awoke to oranges hanging right out the window and to the smell of jasmine in bloom.
Rick was very accommodating, friendly and respected our privacy as well. He gave us a thorough and enthusiastic overview of the city as well as some key recommendations. The home was even more charming than I expected, was centrally located but just far enough away from the more tourist concentrated areas to get a real sense of what Savannah is like as a local.
We will definitely reach out to Rick for future accommodations in Savannah!
Rick was very hospitable and accommodating. We had a busy weekend; so, we were not at the house much, but when we did see him there, he was friendly and helpful, answering any questions we had. Rick is also quiet as a mouse!
The room is comfortable and inviting. The bed was a bit smaller than we expected, but it and the pillows were comfortable. The portable a/c he has is fabulous. Being from a bit further North, we aren't quite used to the Savannah humidity. We only wished we had thought to ask sooner!
This is a great location. It is close to a grocery and the beautiful Forsyth park. It is about a 15-20 minute walk to "downtown" and River Street areas, and a very quick (and cheap) cab ride away. Savannah is a lively little city, and has a lot to fun to offer. If you'd like to stay somewhere close to everything, but not in the center of the party, this is a wonderfully situated home.
A bonus, free street parking! This isn't the case in many of the neighborhoods near downtown. Be aware, you may have to move your car for street cleaning (We didn't have to, actually).
Rick was wonderful! The house is charming and in a great part of town. It's only a few blocks from Forsyth Park, and almost everything we wanted to be at was a 15 minute walk or less away.
Rick was incredibly helpful and friendly. He always had good tips and places to stop by we hadn't even considered. Some of which ended up being trip highlights! I would definitely recommend staying with him if you're in town.
Rick was a great host! He was there to answer questions but gave us our privacy! He provided us with different brochures and maps. The room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. The house was in a perfect location. Super close to the park squares (closest being Forsyth) and also just a twenty minute walk to the town/river street. This was our first time in Savannah and I can honestly say I fell in love with the city. So much to do and absolutely beautiful! It was St. Patrick's day weekend so there were a lot of people downtown and it was a little crazy but still so much fun. Lots of live music and the weather was perfect. Thanks again to Rick!!! Hope to be back again soon!
