Villa Ohana is a house made for family & friends & being together. Four bedrooms, big oceanfront infinity pool, mature tropical gardens all the way to the shore. Swim, eat by the pool, watch the surf and sunsets, or follow the garden path down toward the beach. Private and peaceful, yet only a short walk from Rancho Santana’s restaurants and resort amenities. Sleeps 8.
The space
OHANA
Ohana means family, and Villa Ohana is a house built around that idea.
It is made for time together. Children disappearing into the pool for hours. Long lunches outside. Morning coffee watching the surf. Drinks by the pool as the sun drops over the Pacific. Everyone finding their own favourite corner of the garden, then coming back together again.
It is about shared time, shared experiences, and the kind of holiday memories that stay with you for years.
THE SETTING
Villa Ohana sits directly on the coast at Rancho Santana, surrounded by a large, mature tropical garden.
Beyond the garden is the Pacific Ocean.
From the house, pool and gardens you can watch the surf, the rocky shoreline and the changing light over the water throughout the day. A private path winds through the grounds toward the beach and nearby surf break.
The setting feels private and peaceful, but never cut off. The ocean is always there, both visually and in the background sound of the surf.
THE HOUSE
Villa Ohana has four bedrooms and comfortably accommodates up to eight guests.
Three bedrooms are in the main house. The fourth sits separately beside the swimming pool, making it a great setup for two families, grandparents, older children or friends who appreciate having a little independence while still being part of the group.
The principal bedroom has a king-size bed. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed. The third has two twin beds. The separate poolside bedroom has a queen-size bed and accommodates two guests.
All four bedrooms are air-conditioned, have ceiling fans and private en-suite bathrooms, and open toward the tropical gardens.
Ocean views feature throughout the property.
THE HEART OF THE HOUSE
At the centre of the main house is a high red-brick vaulted living room, with large folding doors that open directly to the gardens, ocean air and sound of the surf.
The dining area is anchored by a large, hand-crafted wooden table with seating for eight. It feels right for the house. Big breakfasts, long lunches, dinners that stretch into the evening, everyone around the same table.
Upstairs, the large covered balcony is one of Villa Ohana's best spaces. There are deep ocean views, constant breeze, comfortable seating and a hammock facing the Pacific. It is a natural place for morning coffee, an afternoon read, or watching the light change over the water at sunset.
The house works because the spaces connect so naturally. Inside, balcony, garden and pool all feel like part of the same place, giving everyone room to spread out without losing the sense of being together.
THE POOL & GARDENS
The private pool is one of the places everyone keeps coming back to.
Swim, read, have lunch beside the water, watch the surfers, or stay there until sunset. It looks directly toward the ocean and very quickly becomes the centre of the day.
The gardens are just as important to Villa Ohana as the house itself.
Palms, flowering trees, mature tropical planting and broad areas of lawn wrap around the buildings and pool. The garden gives the property space, privacy and character, and makes the whole place feel settled naturally into the coastline.
There are plenty of beautiful properties in Nicaragua. Far fewer have gardens with this level of maturity and personality.
RANCHO SANTANA
Villa Ohana also has an unusually convenient position within Rancho Santana.
You have the privacy of a standalone oceanfront home, while the resort's main area, restaurant, café and beach are all close enough to reach on foot.
You can spend the entire day at the villa without feeling any need to leave, but when somebody wants coffee, lunch, a walk on the beach or a change of scenery, you do not need to get into a car to find it.
It is a very easy place to settle into.
TIME TOGETHER
Villa Ohana works especially well for families and groups of friends because the house does not need much planning.
Stay home. Swim. Cook. Eat outside. Walk down to the ocean. Watch the sunset. Sit around the table longer than expected. Let the children have one more swim.
Then do it all again the next day.
That is really the point of Villa Ohana.
Good people, plenty of space, and time together somewhere beautiful.
