  • I stayed I Michael's apartment for almost a week and had a great experience. The flat is lovely, cosy, trendy, and spotless. The bed was ridiculously comfy and I had a great night sleep. The flat is situated on Main street which is about 10 minute walk from the main area of Downton Cincinnati and about 15 minute walk from the river.

There were lots of bars, cafe's and nice restaurants nearby too. Michael was a great host and made the whole process of picking up keys very simple. I recommend it.

  • Michael was a great host, very responsive and flexible to a one month accommodation. The place is in a great location and accessible to many great bars and restaurants around. I'd highly recommend him to anyone else.

  • I would reccomend this place to anyone who can manage to climb the 50+ stairs to the apartment. You can't really know Cincinnati without staying in Over the Rhine, a registered historic district, and this is a perfect example of a classic OTR apartment. Nearby are several awesome bars, cute boutiques and vintage shops, and you are almost on top of Iris Book Cafe. It is also an easy busride to downtown. As a bonus your host is a really nice guy.

  • Michael was a great host with a great apartment. Big room, comfy bed, and wireless. The apartment is a coo street in OTR, walking distance to bars, shops, and food. A really good jumping off point in downtown Cincinnati.

  • A perfect little room in Cincinnati. Michael was a gracious host, and very welcoming - offering beer and whatnot. :) The place is perfect - a beautiful little loft that was a great location downtown. Over the Rhine is a lovely spot to stay in - get your coffee from Iris next door, and enjoy a little bit of Bohemia right in Cincy. I was there for about a week, and Michael was pretty busy for most of it so he wasn't around - but our conversations were fun, and an example of how awesome AirBnB has made life for the travelers among us. I especially like the loft-y exposed brick of the place, and his kitchen was full of all the good cooking stuffs (George Foreman Grill, y'all) if you need them. It's on the top floor of a small building, but it's an easy walk up in a secure, quiet building. All in all, highly recommended for folks looking for a home to rest their heads.

  • Michael's place is spacious and exceptionally well cared for, and he is a generous and hospitable host. His place is walking distance from a beautiful park and excellent restaurants, as well as right on the bus line into downtown. I was very glad I stayed here!

  • Across the street from a fantastic bakery, next door to a nice coffeehouse, and 5 doors up is MOTR pub, where I heard some awesome bands of varying types. There is a restaurant called Mulberry's less than a block away which was pretty good.

There is on street parking, most of which is metered, so you have to be out by 8AM or feed the meter. Many nights I found an unmetered space. The unit is on the 4th floor, but no problem for me.

    I'd stay there again!

  • Michael is an amazing host. Truly a gentleman and a scholar. The apartment is a fourth floor walk up in the historic Over the Rhine district of Cincinnati. The architecture in the area is amazing and there are convenience stores, coffee houses, bars, a yoga studio and loads of art galleries. On the block I found a bar with great live music and numerous vegetarian items on the menu, such as a killer marinated Portobello mushroom burger. The neighborhood is a happening place and for my purposes was perfect. I walked daily to the courthouse, library, and to the Duke Energy Convention Center. I was thrilled with this experience and hope Michael will let me stay with him again, as I have research work in Cincinnati quite often.

  • Expected a nice, clean apartment located close to downtown Cincinnati and Michael delivered as advertised. Walked to restaurants and shops while we stayed for the weekend. Although Michael was away, he managed to make us feel welcome and was available for any questions. Positive all around experience.
