The apartment is situated in a quiet walkway square in La Macarena neighborhood.
It has three bedrooms: one with queen size bed, other with two twins and the third one with another twin. The apartment also has a cute bathroom, a spacious kitchen, a cozy living room and a air conditioning unit. All the rooms are outward-facing and the building is equipped with a new elevator.
The neighborhood is named by the Basilica of La Macarena. The apartment is within walking distance to the Basilica, the Andalusian Parliament (an historical building from 1546) or the Arabic Wall. The apartment is surrounded by parks like El Alamillo Park and is within 600 feet from Guadalquivir River and its boulevard. An ideal space to take a walk or jog!
The main downtown and the shopping area of Seville is about 20-30 minutes walking distance in a really nice stroll. However, the apartment has plenty of connections by public transportation (about 10 minutes by bus) with Encarnacion Square, Cathedral, Barrio de Santa Cruz and other historical areas like Plaza de España or Parque de Maria Luisa. The apartment is also close to the exit Ronda de Circunvalacion from SE-30 (Seville Freeway) that connects Seville with the rest of the Andalusian cities and the downtown with historical towns like Santiponce (where the archaeological Roman Italica ruins are).
La Macarena is a nice area and a typical Spanish neighborhood with many inexpensive restaurants of delicious tapas. It also has plenty of grocery stores, a nice shopping area and different services. The funfair Isla Mágica, placed at La Cartuja Island, is within a walking distance from the apartment. Perfect to enjoy the whole family!
We hope you will spend some gorgeous days in Seville and enjoy its magic being our guest.
The apartment is about a 20-30 minute walk from the city center, which in the heat of April was excruciating. However, it is very close to bus stops, which makes it much better. The place itself is very cozy, with 3 individual bedrooms. It would have been nice to have a list of places that have free wifi, because it's actually really hard to travel without wifi. Other than that, would recommend again, though if you only have 1-2 days in Seville, I would say finding a place directly in the city center would be better.
The apartment was fine for us. We were able to walk to various areas of the city. We had enough space for five people. oscar's cousins met us at the apartment. They were very helpful by providing suggestions for us as well as directions. I have two concerns. Two of the beds had footboards which made them unusable for tall people such as us. Also, we had no hot water for showers. Every shower was with cold water.
Oscar's apartment was spacious, modern and bright. His cousins (who gave us the keys) were super sweet and helpful when we reached Sevilla.
The apartment is slightly outside the old town, but there are good long walks towards the Santa Cruz barrio - one through the old town via Macarena (we discovered a lot more because we walked) and another along the river.
Only bummer was that there was no wifi in the apartment. Apart from that, we had a great time in Sevilla and enjoyed our stay in Oscar's apartment.
A lovely and airy apartment, very well located. Plenty of shops and bus stops nearby to get around easily. Oscar is very friendly and extremely helpful. We definitely recommend this apartment for families or groups, especially if you're visiting Isla Magica, which is really close.
