My wife and I stayed at Gina's house for a short stay 2 nights in January 2014. I have to say that we absolutely loved it!
It is a bit outside of Chiang Mai so you come here knowing that you'll be away from the city and it's amenities/attractions, but that is exactly what makes this place so nice. We spent a few days just enjoying the peace and quiet that her wonderful house offers. It is super clean and very comfortable. The adjoining resort was also quite pleasant as the food is reasonably priced and also very healthy. My wife is a vegetarian and she loved all of the different choices that were available to her.
We also took part in the morning yoga sessions, which are a bit pricey but we enjoyed them. It was a great way to get the day started. There are quite a few people doing the more intense fasting/clean out type options, but that wasn't really for us. So we just enjoyed eating, playing tennis, and relaxing by the pool for a few days.
Perfect rest stop, and Gina's place is really worth it! Far cheaper than booking direct with the resort and much nicer.
Nice and quiet place. Town house in great shape. Two pools, not big but enough to cool down. Spa is great. Restaurant is just all right in terms of food and service but has a lot healthy food offerings incl. raw food menu if u like.
We had a wonderful and relaxing stay here! The setting is idyllic and tranquil in the lush green mountains and you can access all the services of the resort: pools, scooter rentals, good hotel restaurant, classes, etc. Gina is professional, friendly and prompt. The townhouse is spacious, new, and has a nice terrace. It was the perfect detox retreat from the hustle and bustle of our lives in big cities. We would definitely stay here again!
A true paradise. Thumbs up on everything. We honestly have never had a better vacation getaway. It´s perfect.
I spent a little over two weeks in Gina's townhouse and would loved to have stayed longer. The residence, which is located inside a health and spa resort, is surrounded by the most idyllic and stunning countryside. Staying in Gina's townhouse, although you pay far less than for one of the resort rooms, there is virtually no difference in what you receive in terms of service and amenities. You still have access to all resort facilities - yoga sala, pools, gym, spa, detox centre, etc. There's also a complementary drop-off/pick-up taxi service into Chiang Mai that comes in handy as its about a 45 minute trip into the city centre. The townhouse itself is spacious and has a lovely feel, with lots of light in the upstairs bedroom and a supremely comfortable bed. Overall, Gina's townhouse is exceptionally good value, especially if you are looking for somewhere that's tranquil, but also has all the amenities & services of a resort.
Great place to stay and a relaxing time. Great swimming pools and health food, in the resort.
We stayed for a whole month. We slept beautifully well. My wife enojoyed the morning meditations and yoga classes. The staff is friendly and very helpful. We took advantage of the free shuttle into Chiang Mai. The townhome is out in the country far from the busy city. We were able to go on treks into the jungle right from the place. They even have mountain bikes you can use. The children enjoyed the swimming pools. And most importantly the food at the restaurant is delicious and dangerously close.
My sister and I stayed in the nice townhouse at the spa resort during our stay in Chiang Mai. It was so great - the apartment is SO nice, as well as the resort.. :-)
We only stayed for 4 days but the resort made a special package for us based on our requests (for us, raw food/yoga/massage :-) on the last day we planned a tour with a local guy working at the resort. He took us out to see beautiful temples, local markets, elephant camp as well as tiger kingdom - all is close to the resort :-)
There was nothing wrong with the villa except that it was 30 kms from the heart of Chiang mai and evrytime there was thunder and lighting power went out and wifi was not good enough. For anyone who wanted to stay there for health reasons,it is a great place to be.unfortunately that wasn't what I had in mind,I wanted to be a tourist in Chiang mai.Perhaps Gina needs to emphasize that when she writes to a prospect.
The property and resort complex are even better than the photos are able to show! We had a truly great vacation stay -- everything was clean and well-appointed, and the townhouse is part of a lovely resort with friendly and accommodating staff. And the area of Chiang Mai is amazing, so many opportunities to experience "authentic Thailand" and have some thrilling experiences with "wildlife encounters" at various parks in the area. Highly recommend a stay here!
