The barn is rustic, cozy and quiet. Being an over 100 year old structure means that it has a few quirks, which we have tried to explain as best we can through the pictures, so we hope it piques the interest of the right guests who can come and enjoy their stay here!

The space
Stay in our cozy, finished apartment in our barn. Our barn is located behind our historic and charming arts and crafts bungalow on almost an acre of land in a quiet neighborhood. Enjoy views of trees, flowers, and a backyard vineyard. Drink a cup of tea or coffee made in the cute kitchenette while relaxing with a good book! We do not have cable, but have wireless internet as well as AppleTV and Netflix for watching movies & TV shows. Please note that we use window AC units in the summer & space heaters in the winter. Being an older drafty structure, you should plan accordingly if you are prone to being cold or being too warm . We (and nearly all of our guests) find it to be comfortable but are happy to provide extra blankets or a fan if needed. This is a peaceful little treasure to use as your home base for sightseeing in Virginia Beach and the surrounding area! One of our co-hosts is a local brewery and beer expert and can direct you to the best spots if that is something that interests you! He is also plant-based and can give wonderful plant based dining recommendations.

Guest access
Guests have access to our large fenced yard which is approximately 1 acre. There is a garden with vegetables and herbs in the summer and a small vineyard. The barn has its own small deck with Adirondack chairs and there is a picnic table in the yard which guests like to use when it’s warmer out. Parking is not available next to the barn but is available on the street.

Other things to note
Friendly dogs are welcome but are subject to a $10 fee per day. This can be paid by altering the reservation with the fees included.

Also, please don’t request to use our barn for photo shoots, video shoots, weddings, etc. It is available for basic accommodations for 2-3 people only and nothing beyond that. Thank you.
