Stay in our cozy, finished apartment in our barn. We are a 5 minute drive from the peaceful beaches of the Chesapeake Bay. Also a short drive away are fun attractions such as the Virginia Beach Oceanfront, Seashore State Park, First Landing State Park, and Downtown Norfolk. We are located in a convenient location for making day trips to Williamsburg, Jamestown, Busch Gardens, etc. Our barn is located behind our charming bungalow on almost an acre of land in a quiet neighborhood. Enjoy views of trees, flowers, and a backyard vineyard. Drink a cup of tea or coffee made in the cute kitchenette while relaxing with a good book! We do not have cable, but have wireless internet as well as AppleTV for watching movies & TV shows. This is a peaceful little treasure to use as your home base for sightseeing in the Hampton Roads area!
Other Things to Note
Friendly dogs are welcome but are subject to a $10 fee per day. This can be paid by altering the reservation with the fees included.
When coming or going, please make sure that you always close the gate properly so that our dog doesn't escape. Her name is Barley and she is very friendly, but might be overly friendly--just a warning! Please park on the street in front of our house.
It is a pretty quiet neighborhood and there is no partying or loud music inside or in the yard (that's what hotel rooms at the Oceanfront are for!).
This place was awesome! My wife and I stayed here and immediately felt cozy, safe, and well taken care of in this unique place. It is 2 stories and has everything you need, including even Netflix! The host had tea bags and a coffee pot inside as well as a microwave, microwave oven, and a water heater.
Everything was perfectly clean and ready for us to stay inside. The location. Is also great as it is near the water and plenty of restaurants. Again, we felt super safe, comfy, and cozy- I would recommend bargain this location for anybody.
We had a lovely, quick getaway at your place. The only issue was that the power went out in the neighborhood for several hours during the night and it got pretty cold without the space heaters.
The barn was nice and romantic place. The weather was cold and windy when we stayed at the barn. So the barn was a bit cold too although there was spaceheaters to warm up the place. Neighbourhood was quiet.
Love the location and the feel of this place. It was so cozy and perfect for a quick getaway! Thanks for being so hospitable and opening your home!
We had a wonderful stay at the cozy cottage! Great location for us and exactly how the pictures show it. Kara is a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. We only wish we had brought our dog!
Kara was great! She accommodated our unusual check in/out times, and the place was ready and warmed for us when we arrived! We loved being about to travel with our dog, and he loved his playtime with Kara's dog, Barley!
We completely enjoyed our stay. The place was just as described and was quiet and comfortable. Kara was friendly and accommodating. This was a wonderful place for us to wind down after a day of hanging out with relatives and their kids. Very quiet neighborhood, very comfy bed, great experience.
The dog, Barley, was sweet and friendly. I wish I could have played fetch with her for a while more the morning we left.
Waffletown is nearby for a great breakfast. Shipwreck Sally's serves a great breakfast, Thirsty Camel is a dive, but the crabcakes and french dip were fab. Great area for a vacation.
