Welcome to a sanctuary by the sea in the middle of the Lofoten islands. The newly built cabin is placed nicely by the sea with beautiful views. Sleeps 6 people, includes a dining room, living room, sauna, and fully stocked kitchen, floor heating, great wifi and free electric car charger! Towels and sheets are included. It is situated a 10 minute drive from Leknes and the airport. This cabin is in the middle of a peaceful and quiet and private area with own parking and hiking close by.

The space
A super quiet, private, and comfortable cabin, with your own private sauna, internet, and with a free electric car charger you can use any time during your stay! In the winter, the weather changes very often. The months January-March, I strongly recommend you to have a car with 4WD.(there is a hill before the cabin) You can experience all seasons in one day. From storms, to sunny days with breathtaking views of the mountains and the sea. The cabin is located in a great place that is very private. With little neighbours, and no street lights,on a clear evening you can have a chance to see the northern lights. I have seen eagles, rabbits, whales and a fox from our living room window. In the fall I have picked cloudberries and cranberries between the sea and the cabin. This cabin can’t get any closer to nature and still have easy access to society, shopping and restaurants. In the summer when the sun never sets, we have light-dense curtains in all rooms so our guests have a good nights sleep. In the summer you will see the traffic of cruise ships from different countries that come in the morning and leave in the evening. This cabin is located in the center of Lofoten. It is a one hour drive north to Svolvær and one hour drive south to Å but only a 10 minute drive to Leknes and the airport. Leknes is the largest town in vestvågøy, with a shopping center, big food stores, gas stations, tourist info, library, coffee shops, and great reastaurants. You will find everything you need during your stay in Lofoten here. Mortsund is only a couple km from the cabin. Morstund is an old fishing village. They dry fish there and salmon is also produced there. (You can see the fish farms out at sea from the windows in the cabin) There is a great experience center for fisheries and aquaculture. They also do guided tours through the fishing village and have a fish restaurant in the summer. Mortsund has a mountain with great hiking trails as well as many other great mountains in Lofoten. The mountain in Mortsund is called Middagstinden. There are so many places to explore in Lofoten for example Unstad, a great place to do some surfing or Haukland-Uttakleiv, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world or the breathtaking mountain tops or in Reine, where you have stop to take one more picture. Enjoy our sauna during your whole stay! (even though the view is great, there are no places to go swimming) Welcome!
