While our stay at Susan's was short, we enjoyed it immensely -- from the scenic location to the comfortable bed to the tasty breakfast, we'd definitely recommend staying with her if you're in the area.

Beautiful and spacious home at the end of a quiet road. Lots of interesting decor. Note, there are no chickens here anymore. We still enjoyed a delicious home cooked breakfast that Susan graciously prepared for us. She also provided recommendations for dinner, like The Shuckery, where we enjoyed fresh oysters and fish.

Susan was a warm and welcoming host. She was kind with our two young children. She communicated promptly. The room and bed were spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the relaxed homey feel and the pool (which is probably best in the hot weather, as it's not heated). The pool and the surrounding garden and patio are beautiful. I just read in the description that you can go collect your own eggs. I wish we'd been reminded of this because our kids would have loved to do this. The children enjoyed the cows visible from the front driveway and were both frightened and intrigued by the animal heads on the wall. I had no idea how big a moose really looks! I loved the roses everywhere. When we were driving (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps tried to send up to a road that was near the house, but not actually accessible from the house. Look at the satellite picture of where the house is and do your own navigation from that for the last mile. It's right where the map says it is, but you have to come in from a private drive that (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps doesn't recognize.

Susan was very gracious and accomadating. Her house is beautiful and the accommodations were perfect. She cooked us a delicious breakfast each day we were there. The property is quiet and tranquil and a perfect place to stay in the wine country is a short distance away. She gave us suggestions on where to go and very pleasant and friendly to talk with. We would definitely return.

Lovely country location with a beautiful view of the surrounding farmland. The house is amazing. My room was beautifully decorated with a Victorian flair. It even had pretty teacups, tea and a hot water pot! The breakfasts were large and delicious with plenty of fresh coffee.
