The West Village is the western portion of the Greenwich Village neighborhood in the New York City borough of Manhattan. The area is usually defined as bounded by the Hudson River on the west and either Sixth Avenue or Seventh Avenue on the east. The neighborhood is primarily residential, with a multitude of small restaurants, shops and services. Nearest subway stop: Christopher.
I will be happy to give you names of my favorite restaurants. The location is also perfect for running along the Hudson River promenade and even rent a bike at the bike store located less than a block away.

We stayed at Olivia's apartment for a week in June. The apartment was perfect and met all of our needs! Olivia was nice, detailed and timely and met with us when we arrived. She made sure we knew where everything was in and around the apartment.
The apartment was clean and smartly decorated. It was the perfect size for the 2 of us. Located near restaurants, shops, and the subway- everything was in walking distance.
Overall it was a great way to spend our time in New York.
We stayed a week in Olivia's apartment and loved it. It is perfect for two persons. The apartment is exactly like it looks in the photos. The location is perfect, just a block away from the Hudson River, and with a range of nice restaurants, cafés and shops within walking distance. We loved the neighborhood! Olivia was nice, and easy to communicate with. She was available if we had any questions. Would really like to recommend this apartment!
Olivia is the greatest host ever. She lives close and was worried of everything we need. Her place is awesome, very nice, very clean, 10mn from subway in a very quiet street. We had the greatest trip ever and felt like real new yorkers. I would definitely recommand this place.
We stayed 7 days in Olivia's appartment and were very happy for this choice!
First of all, it is ideally located with many shops, restaurants and bars around, as well as buses lines and subway station (5-10 minutes walking).
The flat is well furnished, especially in the kitchen which allowed us to cook very easily, like at home!
Last but not the least, Olivia was very kind and available as scheduled for check in and check out, and she gave us precious advises when we arrived.
We definitely recommend her appartment for a stay in NYC.
Of note if it helps with regards to our comment: we are couple (30 years old), with no children
My husband, 1 year son and I stayed in Olivia's fantastic apartment for 12 days in April. Being experienced users of Airbnb, we had high expectations and this place exceeded all of them.
Olivia was a wonderful host who communicated well in the lead up to our trip and ensured everything was in order, she was just a delight to deal with.
Located on a quiet street just a block from the Hudson, the apartment was very quiet and warm-in fact so warm we had the window open a lot of the time, allowing some fresh air in. This area of the West Village was lovely, it was quiet, safe to walk around at any time of the day and the locals friendly.
The drawcard to this place for us was the big kitchen which would allow us to prepare breakfast and simple meals for our toddler. The kitchen had all the cutlery, crockery and appliances we needed to prepare food and snacks to go, and a great area to sit to eat or have take-out, which we did a few times.
The location for us was wonderful, with many local restaurants and cafés nearby, a wash and fold on Hudson and a Rite Aid with all the basics we needed. Looking for child friendly places was easy with several playgrounds a short walk and many restaurants doing child friendly menu options. A short walk to buses up or downtown, a cross town outside the front door and trains just a few blocks, this apartment was perfectly positioned to explore Manhattan.
The photos are a true indication of the apartment and Olivia has furnished and decorated the place in a very homely way. The bedroom was average size with a decent sized closet for storing away luggage, the bathroom typically NY sized, but far from feeling claustrophobic with mirrors positioned well. The living area is open style with the kitchen and makes the apartment feel very spacious. The apartment is located up 2 flights of stairs so was a challenge on some days getting a toddler and stroller up/down, but we knew this and it certainly didn't negatively impact our stay (wanted to mention it for others that may have a challenge with stairs).
I have already recommended this apartment to several friends and wouldn't hesitate to continue doing so. Olivia was a genuine host who made our stay brilliant.
We have just finished a wonderful 10 day stay at Olivia's fabulous apartment. It is centrally located in a great part of West Village and has easy access to the subway and amazing restaurants. It was a relief to come home from a busy days activities and only have to climb two flights of stairs to a beautifully decorated and clean apartment.
The apartment had everything a visitor needs and Olivia is a fantastic host. She met us promptly and explained everything to us and also gave us great help with finding places to eat and laundry etc.
The apartment is beautiful and very well kept. The sofa and bed are comfortable and warm. There are many restaurants, cafes, and shops within walking distance. If you ever need to head elsewhere, the Christopher St. station isn't too far, but you can use your MetroCard to take the Path just two blocks away instead. Olivia is a great host and I'd be glad to stay here again.
We stayed for two weeks in Olivia's apartment. The apartment is very nice and located in a great neighborhood. The apartment is exactly as described. It is very clean and tidy and beautifully decorated. The nice and comfortable furniture made our stay very pleasant. The place is perfect for two persons.
The apartment was a bit noisy daytime due to a nearby construction site, but this was no problem to us.
Olivia is very nice and helpful as a host. We would definitely recommend this apartment to others.
My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay at Olivia's charming West Village apartment. Olivia was a gracious host. Thank you, Olivia!
We loved Olivia's apartment - it was quite spacious for a New York apartment, close to transport and cool neighbourhoods like Greenwich and the Meatpacking District. Olivia was also helpful and prompt to respond to any requests. Would recommend staying here.
