  • Great place, very clean, easy access to the metro (across the street).
Other guests and host were very friendly.

  • Excellent accomodation - clean bathrooms and tidy rooms, friendly travelling guests, and helpful staff. Very safe Hasidic Jew neighborhood. Highly recommended especially considering the price, would stay again!

  • I've been here for 2 weeks to visit New York City. It was a nice place to stay, 4 loft beds per room, a nice living room with kitchen and fridge plus a small bathroom in every of the 2 floors. WIFI and one PC as well as a phone (with free calls inside the US) are available.
The hostel is cleaned but sometimes the bathroom may seem a little untidy - but when its fully booked, approximately 25 people are living in there, so that was okay. The price is very reasonable, the D-Train stops right in front of the door, you may have to wait for it several minutes.
I had a spacious, air conditioned room to the inner courtyard. Rooms to the other side might be a little more noisy.
Also, if you check-in after 10pm, make sure, that you get the (digital) door key as well as the (digital) room key before you fly there! The staff is there over night, but only (!) for emergencies. Not for check-in.

Very relaxed and highly recommended, if you want to meet great people and see Manhattan as well as e.g. Brooklyn, Coney Island or Queens.

  • I did enjoy how clean they keep this place and how friendly the people were. Everything was in good working order. It was during the first heat wave of the summer and damn was it hot, also it feels a little far from things, you need to give yourself an hour to get to midtown by train. The traintrack was almost within arms reach of my bed, but hey it's a hostel. If you're looking for luxuries like silence and cool temperatures for sleeping this place probably isn't for you.

  • The place was clean and in good condition. Also, right across the street from the D line, which was very convenient. There was a bit of a fish smell, but it was only when you first enter. It didn't permeate the place. I didn't use many of the facilities, but everything seemed to be in working order. The person running the hostel was friendly and helpful.

  • Yàll are fantastic. Kyle is great. The place is VERY clean, especially for how many people are there. It`s two floors and even though theres many people there, it doesn`t feel like it at all. The neigborhood is great! Quiet, clean streets, with eclectic Kosher and Polish markets near by! Thanks again yall!

  • Great hostel, easy to meet people if you're travelling alone. Clean and well presented. Comfortable beds, lockers available. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The neighbourhood felt very safe. The only criticisms I have are that 1. It is pretty far away from Manhattan, it takes about 45 minutes to get there. It also takes about the same amount of time to get to Williamsburg, Dumbo, and more to get to Queens. 2. There are only 2 bathrooms combined with a toilet for 5 hostel rooms so it is always a struggle to use the toilet or have a shower in the morning when it is busiest.
I would recommend this place for those on a budget and need a clean, safe place to stay, as it was the best value accommodation I could find in NYC at the time but if you have a bit more money, splash out on somewhere more convenient and with enough bathrooms.

  • The bed was so comfortable! Clean and standard hostel.

  • I really have a good time in this hostel. The place is clean, confortable
and the area was safe which is important for a girl traveling on her own.
It takes around 40 minutes to arrive in Manhattan.
I have met friendly people there from all around the world so that made my trip even more interesting.
Be prepared to queue in the morning to go to the bathroom as there are only 2 for a bunch of people.
I recommend this place for the experience and if you want to save money as NY is very expensive city to stay.
