I thought it was good accomodation! I could spend great time. Thanks a lot!
This a pretty neat place in a very interesting neighborhood.
Michael was an extremely welcoming host, providing everything that one could possible need.
I was sharing a lounge and kitchen area with 3-4 other people, which was a very fun way of meeting people, over coffee in the morning, or late at night after an eventful tour of the city.
Practically, it's right in front of a metro stop, with a 40min ride to midtown Manhattan... the neighborhood has plenty of shops with everything imaginable available.
It's pretty good value for money if you just need a bed for the nights, while you plan to discover the Big Apple by day!
This is a good hostel, certainly for its price, but indeed a while from Manhattan, but the metro stop is just across the street.
Nice, clean and convenient location. Hostel has a good mix of international community. Located right beside St 55 D line Subway. Also, hostel is right beside a 24 hour grocery store which is really useful. Takes about 35 minutes to get to Manhattan tourist spots (Like Penn Station on 34th/Times Square on 42th).
Overall, I think Adele's place is a really good bargain for the price you pay. Would definitely stay there again during my subsequent trip to NYC.
It wont get any better for $25.. Its in one of the safest neighborhoods in New York. The fish smell is bullshit.. You barely feel it.. Around the corner, there's a grocery store thats open 24/7.. You WILL appreciate that at least once.. Kyle who keeps Borough Park running is a really cool dude.. He helps out a lot and he's really nice.. Its 55th st, New Utrecht Ave and there's no doubt, next time I visit New York, I will ONLY stay at Borough Park and you should too!
Great spot to stay on a budget, everything was just as outlined in the listing. Other inhabitants were very friendly.
I basically just used this place as a place to stay as I was gone all day everyday and it was very good for that. It is definitely not a private place to stay but it is an extremely clean hostel for how many people there are! I was impressed!
This is the coolest Hostel ever! Actually, it doesn't event feel like a hostel, but more like a personal flat that you are sharing with people from all over the world. The living rooms are nice and cosy, the kitchen is fully equiped and very clean and the people are wonderful. The only bad thing: two bathrooms for 20 people..if you like to take long showers you are not going to make friends;-)
clean, nice atmosphere, cool people, just in front of the subway! a rather long subway-journey to downtown NYC, but that didn't bother me too much
Very pleasant stay! Clean, modern, casually run hostel, close to a metro stop (fairly close to Manhatten). Good mix of tourists and temporary residents looking for apartments in NY. Only two showers, so try to shower early or late to avoid waiting.
