Our tiny house is our labor of love, a beautiful little place created for you to enjoy! Saltwood is next door to our house, but separated by a fence, to give our guests privacy. But feel free to say hey to us or our little tribe anytime. You may see our friendly dog Kona or our chickens, if you'd like. PLEASE NOTE: we only allow 2 people in our cottage. We do NOT allow it to be rented for photo shoots (ie- a photographer rents our space to hold numerous photo sessions with clients)

Neighborhood highlights

Saltwood Cottage is located in Kitty Hawk, just a little over 1 mile to the beach (2 minute drive or 10 minute bike ride). The cottage is located across from the Maritime Forest Nature Preserve Bike Path. The path interconnects with other paths and trails leading to great hiking trails...OR beautiful sunset views on Bay Drive or the Duck boardwalk, depending on which route you take:). half a mile down the path from the cottage is Sandy Run Park-A scenic 16 acre park with creekside trails and canal fishing. 3/4 mile from the cottage is a public boat/kayak launch that leads to the sound....we also are close to many restaurants-we are happy to recommend some of our faves...

My husband Abe and I have lived here on the Outer Banks for about 15 years. We enjoy spending time with our family, which includes our 3 children. We spend a lot of our time on the beach and enjoying the beauty here on the Outer Banks, as well as many other parts of the world.
