Looking for a unique historical town house(ANNO BUILD 1788) in perfect location?
Then you just found it!
The location of this beautiful house is a 2-minute easy walk to the metro and 10-15 mins walk to centre of town. The location has trees, lawns, delightful water canals…and it's in the heart of Copenhagen at the same time!
The house has three bedrooms and each is clean, appealing and renovated in natural wood. Beds are very comfortable. Ground floor is the smaller, good for two persons. Next floor is largest room, with twin singles that tilt independently (joined for a large double bed), and a sofabed for 2 persons.
Top-floor attic has large double bed and breakfast table and chairs. Very quiet location.
The house has fast, free WIFI, good shower equivalent, a great flatscreen TV and a nice sunny view to the big open garden. Enjoy your private time with tea/cofffee from the mini kitchen (Mini kitchen handy, no hot plate to cook but cutlery, crockery, microwave, bar fridge, still gives versatility) and sit there with a pastry from the nearby bakery, (website hidden).
There are sufficient restaurants/coffee shops and take-aways within a 5-min. walk from the apartment and a pretty lake closeby if you want an evening stroll to feed the ducks.
The neighborhood is very laid back and relaxing -- much less touristy than the main town center, but only a metro stop away from all the action. Fun activities in this area include visiting Christiania, climbing the tower of the Church of our Saviour, renting bikes to check out the awesome Opera House or beach, and enjoying a meal in a canal-side cafe.
How to get there and around?
When you arrive from the Airport of Copenhagen, please just take the MRT from (M2) very close. It is a 12 minute metro ride from the airport without any transfers, so super convenient.
Upon your arrival, We'll meet you at the metro station, point out some restaurants and shops (if you like), and then follow you to the the house just a few blocks from the metro. If you want to go to the city center it's just 2 mins easy walk to the metro or a 10-15 mins walk
If you want reasonably priced accommodation in Copenhagen, this is without a doubt a winner.
What an exceptional Town House! Michael and Gitte were prompt with their responses to our questions before arrival. They met us at the metro station and took us to the house. It was spacious and had eveything we needed for our stay. Michael and Gitte pointed out to us local bars and restaurants that were not touristy, which delighted us all. A great location for a large group, with ample space for all. I would definately stay again!
Our trip to Copenhagen was great an Gitte & Michael were extremly friendly Hosts! They took us from the Metro Station to the house, showed us everything and gave us really good advices! We arrived early in the morning (9.00 am) and they offered us a great breakfast at their home and told us many things about copenhagen.
The house was perfect and beautiful, very well located, so we could walk everywhere.
Great Hosts, great house, great trip! Probably wanna come back to see even more of Copenhagen!

A group of 8 of us stayed with Gitte and Michael over three days during the Christmas break. When we released there were no ovens in the house (an oversight on my part) we thought we were doomed for Turkey Sandwiches, that's when Gitte and Michael stepped in and very kindly let us use their kitchen on Christmas day. Not only did they allow us into their home they also gave us a Christmas desert and decorations to make our day more special.
Gitte and Michael went over and above as the roles of hosts and were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
The house is the perfect location for a big group who are looking to spend time exploring Copenhagen but still want to maintain their individual privacy.
The house sits on a canal and the location is gorgeous. You really get a feel for the Danish way of living. The metro is a (very) short walk up the street and there are plenty of cafes and shops to get lost in locally. The city centre is also a short and scenic walk from the house.
Thank you Gitte and Michael for making our Christmas in Copenhagen memorable one. We would recommend you again and again and again.
Nice vacation, near center, Metro and bus just about 100m, friendly host - what else could you wish for?!? Perfect for 6 people, who like to share but also need some private space.
Thanks Gitte & Michael, we now all love copenhagen and I´m personally thinking about coming back with my kids in summer!
The reservation was canceled 247 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We have just returned from a weekend at Michael & Gitte's charming house.
Michael and Gitte met us at the Metro station which is one minute from the house and took us back. Both were very friendly and welcoming. They had laid out a map of Copenhagen and advised on some jazz bars and restaurants.
It's cold in November in Copenhagen, yet the house was toasty and warm. It is exactly like the photos and was charming, private and very quiet.
Michael & Gitte even gave us some of their rare Heineken 47 which is only released one week every year. That was a great introduction to the friendly Danes. :)
The highlight though, was when one of our party stupidly left his passport in the house. Michael very kindly drove to the airport with the passport so that I could catch my flight!
I can't emphasise enough what a great time we had in Copenhagen. Michael & Gitte were fantastic hosts and we will be returning to their beautiful house next summer.
My partner and I were visiting Copenhagen with our 2 kids (aged 9 and 6), our in-laws, and another couple. We wanted somewhere that could accommodate us all and let us spend time together once back in doors from long days out. This house is ideal for that. 3 separate double rooms gave us all enough space, but also the privacy of our own rooms. The kids slept on a sofa bed in our room. The house is very clean and the beds really comfortable. It's a 15 min walk from the centre, which was ideal for us. Loads of great restaurants and cafés close by. The bakery was especially good. Gitte and Michael were lovely hosts. They met us off the metro and walked us the short distance home. Full of good local info for our trip. Would we stay here again? Absolutely. 110%.
A really nice place to stay when visiting Copenhagen!
Michael who welcomed us at our arrival was very nice and helpful with suggestions of restaurants , sightseeing and parking :)
Michael and Gitte were extremely friendly hosts meeting us at the Metro and guiding us to the house we'd be staying in for the weekend! In addition, they went the extra mile and gave us some good tips on where to go and what to see! In particular, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Spiseloppen in Christiania, definitely worth a visit so thank you for the tip Michael!
Very cosy stay, wonderful accommodation, would highly recommend to any group!
The apartment was beautiful and Gitte and Michael were lovely hosts. Our lighting designers - who were staying at the apartment - had a great time and would like to thank the hosts for helping them have such a good stay.
