We are a fully-licensed B&B, offering private furnished apartment with "Bed and Fix Your Own Breakfast" service. Ask what's available on your dates! Remember we can't send or receive Phone #s, links to our website, blogs or email with Air BnB.
We offer furnished apartments in a Historic District of Spokane, and are on the National Registry of Historic Places.
Notably, we have been in business over fifteen years, are licensed, insured and intending to stay that way!
We have six units total in the Odell House. We live in one of them, manage the garden, snow shoveling, chickens, cleaning, etc. Built in 1898, as a single family residence--all 6,500 feet of it--the Odell House was converted to apartments in 1922. Licensed since 1998 for short term stay, we have top ratings on Trip Advisor, and earned their Green Leader Gold award last year for environmentally friendly practices. We are located on a quiet street, walking distance to all the fun Browne's Addition places to eat, across the street from the MAC Museum. We are also between three bike trails and walking or biking distance to downtown.
All our apartments have Queen or full beds, a second less formal sleeping area in the living room, private baths, and full kitchens. They are all very different so be sure to ask if you have special needs--like pet allergies or need to travel with a pet. We can accommodate both requests but need to know in advance to book the right unit.
Heat and AC are included, as are premium cable, Internet and WiFi. 600 thread count sheets, fluffy duvet covers with sparkling, fresh-washed covers. European style. Utterly private, but looked after is what you can expect. To simplify booking we designate the choice offered to Air BnB clients as units #1 and #2, but if you book with us we will be talking with you about which one suits you best.
You'll have your own TV (sometimes two or three) with premium cable, great Wifi, a private bath, comfortable bed with new premium mattress and linens, private kitchen stocked with some basics and some treats. Free laundry is available. PLease ask and we will explain how and where.
We respect our guests privacy, but we are here if they need anything or have questions.
Wonderful historic neighborhood five minutes from downtown and fifteen from the airport. Walking distance to lots of fun places to eat, a museum, park (live music on Thursdays in the summer)
Bus lines about three blocks will take you downtown in five minutes or to the airport in twenty. Really easy!
If you want my views on the fuss going on right now with the legality of Spokane's Air BnB hosts, all you have to do is make a search for the Odell House News blog on Word Press and you will get a complete story of how I feel about it, and up to the moment news about whether Spokane will continue to allow the majority of Air BnB's unlicensed operations to operate past March 31.

Dale was very helpful and gave us good information about the rental.
The house where our apartment was situated was quite a magnificent mansion. The apartment was very comfortable and access was quite easy.
The Browns Addition was a new experience for us, we never knew it existed, it has obviously had a gracious history and the ambiance of the area where our rental was fantastic.
The area is close to the center of Spokane with easy access to restaurants and shopping
We spent two nights in the Portico room (in the Wakefield house across the street), and had an excellent experience. The suite was clean, quiet, and airy, not to mention absolutely enormous. I'll be highly recommending the Odell house to friends who visit Spokane, as both beautiful and great value.
Wonderful experience! The location of the home is perfect and the home itself is amazing. Everything about the home made it such a fun experience; the location, the decor, the host!!
Dale was so kind to us starting with the check-in. She asked if there was anything she could pick up for us prior to our arrival to make our stay better! Upon check-out, she recommended several restaurants for breakfast and we ended up eating at Frank's Diner! The food was incredible and the hostess (Gage) was by far the best waitress we've ever had.
My fiancé and I had such a wonderful trip and it all started with staying at the O'Dell House! Thank you Dale for being such a gracious host! When we have the chance to make it back, we won't stay anywhere else but the O'Dell House!
Dale is great - easy, quick, and clear communication. The house is lovely, right in the historic neighborhood. I brought my 65 yo mom and she loved our 2 bedroom apt! And, they let you stay a bit beyond check out if they're not booked. So we got to stay until 4 when we left to catch our flight!
This was a wonderful adventure. The house is perfectly located in the most interesting part of town, and within walking distance to the Museum of Arts and Culture and fun eateries. Also just a hop downtown. I highly recommend this property which was prepared flawlessly for comfort and relaxation. I'd stay again in a minute.
The Odell house was great! Dale was so accommodating and gave my group an extra room so that couples would not have to share rooms/apartments. Each unit was stocked with bathroom, kitchen and living necessities which was perfect for our 1 night stay. Located in a storybook-esque neighborhood,I would recommend others to stay here!
We enjoyed our stay thoroughly--Dale went the extra mile with organic coffee and half-and-half for us, plus a bowl of cherries and grapes waiting too. We enjoyed pretending we were living the lives of the early rich and famous, sitting out on our veranda on a sultry summer eve. The apartment we stayed in is also an antique boutique so there's plenty to look at and marvel....love the chandeliers.
I stayed in the Wakefield house across the street. A wonderful turn of the century house located in a beautiful quiet historic neighborhood. The apartment was well furnished, comfortable and far exceeded my needs. Dale was a very gracious hostess. The next time I am in Spokane this will be the first place I look to.
It was so cool staying in an old mansion. It gave me an idea of how the rich used to live and had me thinking of what life was like many years ago. Parking and entry into the unit was effortless!
I loved our stay. We were actually across the street from the Odell House in another historic house, and it was so perfect. A truly old house, with lovely radiators, plaster ceilings, floor lamps and a miniaturized kitchen with an adorably tiny turquoise double sink. It definitely has character: a couple of cracks in the ceiling plaster, windows that sometimes stuck, and highly eclectic furnishings. But I'd stay again in a heartbeat.
