Bright and airy room in Edwardian house where you will get a very warm welcome! The room is spacious and comfortable, with lovely street views. Breakfast in the dining room or in cosy kitchen if you prefer, where you will be served a bountiful breakfast including home-made pancakes, brioche, jams and marmalades. Or, you can dine, weather permitting, in the garden and later borrow a bicycle, no charge, to explore the very lovely waterworks nature reserve nearby or further afield as your whim takes you!

Nestled close to Cavehill, birthplace of the United Irishmen, an area of great natural beauty and stomping ground of the famed and tragic Henry Joy McCracken, the period property boasts a country-style kitchen, where languorous breakfasts are also served if you prefer and a living space that is very amenable to unwinding in the evening.
The house is located within an easy walk to shops which provide very good produce and also a variety of takeaways. There is a bus stop seconds from the house, which provides a very regular service into the centre of town where you will find a bustling town centre with a wide range of shops and entertainment. Also within a few minutes walk is an entrance to the local park, the Waterworks, where a wide range of wild birds can be spotted.
Belfast is replete with cultural, historic and retail areas of interest and I can provide you with details of these just to get you started! (email hidden)ly capital city, it provides an array of stores within a walkable city centre. In the evenings the centre offers a similarly lively atmosphere with options ranging from theatre, music, small, traditional pubs through to high end restaurants, all surrounded by the many historical offerings Belfast has.
Provided with the room: free wi-fi, parking and a bountiful, cooked breakfast.
Guests will have access to all common areas and are cordially welcome to use the well-stocked kitchen.
Interaction with Guests
I interact a great deal with my guests, especially in relation to matters cultural here in Belfast or in relation to anything they are interested in.
Mary was very lovely! She helped us with all we need. The breakfast was amazing and the house and the quarter are very nice. And isn't far of city centre ;)
Mary was a delight from the moment she greeted us. Her house is absolutely charming and the neighborhood was in a great location. Mary has all the effusive warmth and generosity of the Mrs. Weasley character from the Harry Potter books and made our visit a treat. Breakfast was delicious and her recommendations for tours and restaurants were spot on, she even drove us herself to the best pizza parlor in Belfast. It would be a pleasure to visit with Mary again!
Brief stay but wonderful host, lovely house and fantastic breakfast.
Well I must say there must be something in the Water in Northern Ireland... I mean the Guiness and I say so because even with the grim weather these people are amazing, generous and always helpful. Mary was an exceptional host, we could not have asked for a nicer host, hospitable, sociable and funny... we love your accent Mary :) and we especially love Mary's pancakes she makes for you every morning. If your in Belfast then forget a hotel.. crash at Mary's enjoy her hospitality and pancakes and it will be the finest move you've made on your trip. Mary scores a 11 out of 10 in every for us, we loved her an if we are ever in Belfast again we will definitely stay at Mary's or call in for a coffee/tea or Guiness and am sure she would have some pancakes ready and waiting if we planned in advance :) Also very thankful for Mary going out of her way and meeting me at the bus station to bring my suit down to me... I had left my suit in Mary's and had to travel back to Belfast and then return to Derry... Mary made that journey easier as met me at the bus station with my suit. Thanks Mary :)
Mary's has a truly lovely home--the space was well aired, clean and the bed was comfortable--exactly like described in the profile. The location is relatively close (40minutes leisurely walk) to Belfast town center and there are buses that pass by every 20 minutes or so--if you can flag one down!! There was ample street parking available which was great as we arrived via car. Mary was very flexible with arrival and departure times and gave some great quick tips for the city! I only wish we would have stayed longer and gotten to talk more with her!
