Bright and airy room in Edwardian house where you will get a very warm welcome! The room is spacious and comfortable, with lovely street views. Breakfast in the dining room or in cosy kitchen of you prefer, where you will be served home-made pancakes, brioche, jams and marmalades, free-range eggs and a big fry if you fancy it. Or, you can dine, weather permitting, in the garden and later borrow a bicycle, no charge, to explore the very lovely waterworks nature reserve nearby or further afield as your whim takes you!
You will sleep in 100% cotton sheets and towels are provided.
Nestled close to Cavehill, birthplace of the United Irishmen, an area of great natural beauty and stomping ground of the famed and tragic Henry Joy McCracken, the period property boasts a country-style kitchen, where languorous breakfasts are also served if you prefer and a living space that is very amenable to unwinding in the evening.
The house is located within an easy walk to shops which provide very good produce and also a variety of takeaways. There is a bus stop seconds from the house, which provides a very regular service into the centre of town where you will find a bustling town centre with a wide range of shops and entertainment. Also within a few minutes walk is an entrance to the local park, the Waterworks, where a wide range of wild birds can be spotted.
Belfast is replete with cultural, historic and retail areas of interest and I can provide you with details of these just to get you started! (email hidden)ly capital city, it provides an array of stores within a walkable city centre. In the evenings the centre offers a similarly lively atmosphere with options ranging from theatre, music, small, traditional pubs through to high end restaurants, all surrounded by the many historical offerings Belfast has.
Provided with the room: free wi-fi, parking and a bountiful, cooked breakfast.
Guests will have access to all common areas and are cordially welcome to use the well-stocked kitchen.
I interact a great deal with my guests, especially in relation to matters cultural here in Belfast or in relation to anything they are interested in.
Mary is a very kind and friendly person. We had a very nice chat and she makes us feel very welcome in her place. She's introduced us her lovelly dogs and cats and gave all the information we needed.
We couldn't believe how big and nice was the bedroom (very comfortable bed). The breakfast was delicious. Everything was very clean.
The house is located 10 min to the city center by bus and there is a bus stop in front of her house. We had a very good time there.
Mary was positively wonderful! She left us with all the information we needed - the room was cozy and comfortable and the breakfast spread - and it was indeed a spread - was absolutely delicious. She was warm, welcoming and answered any and all of our questions. I kind of want her to adopt me.
Would stay here again, without a doubt. Thank you so much, Mary!!!
We had an enjoyable stay with Mary in Belfast. The bus for downtown stops right near her door or it's an easy drive if you don't mind parking in the centre. Mary provided wonderful breakfasts and was very friendly and accommodating. There is only one bathroom which can be a problem if other guests are staying. I had to wait 15 minutes after knocking on one occasion. Other than that, highly recommended.
Mary offers great hospitality and a very comfortable home. It was a great location for exploring the north end of Belfast, and just a quick bus to connections farther afield. It is a great old honey house, and Mary makes every effort to accommodate.
Mary Is a fabulous host. When I came she said me the house is like yours.
Nice room, bathroom....
Marie Have a dog, I hate the dog but I never seen him because it is always in one room or outside.
She did a great breakfast we don't want to leave the table.
The only problem with this house, it s a little bit far from the city center but if you take the Bus it s 12 minutes.
Thanks a millions for all Mary and lovely to met you!!

I stayed at this lovely and tradional house for a week. You can get to city center either by walk or bus(if you're going to stay in Belfast more than 1 week, you'd better buy a weekly smart link card). Mary is such an agreeable lady that you may feel at home. Also you can enjoy great breakfast including fresh fruit and pancakes. Don't forget to step in waterwork near the house, you'll love the tranquil and beautiful lake.
Great experience. Mary is such a lovely lady and cares so much. Her breakfasts were soooo good, pancakes!! Mary was helpful and her home is charming. Right on the bus route to city center, maybe 10 min ride to City Hall. Only stayed 2 nights but would stay in her house again.
I enjoyed my stay with Mary. She is accomodating, understanding and friendly.
