About This Listing
A few step away from the international Midi Station, this apartment is within a « Maison de maître », a 19th century townhouse in Brussels.
As an innovative and experienced architect, the owner Lucrezia has renovated this one ground floor room and basement in a cozy and comfortable living place.
When entering at ground floor level you will find a bright multifunctional room (20 sqm). Original wooden floor (collrful pine), high ceiling, and two large double-glazed windows with electrical stores. This room is perfect for relaxing on the sofa or working. Within one minute, this room can also be turned up into an extra bedroom for two thanks to a good sofa bed.
Going down by a charming wooden staircase in oak you will find three other rooms in a row : the kitchen and dinning area, the main bedroom and the bathroom (altogether a further 50 sqm). A tiny terrace floods daylight into the bedroom and bathroom. Carra marble floors throughout
The built-in kitchen contains everything you need for small self catering : fridge, vitroceramic cooker, sink, and all kind of basic kitchen ware and utensils.
The bed has been carefully selected to be extra comfortable : good innerspring mattress and fluffy topper, completed with a 3-seasons duvet (adaptable thikness) and two kind of pillows to match perfectly your sleeping wishes.
The elegant marble and wood bathroom contains a large walk-in rain shower with white mosaic tiles, and an amazing design wooden bench/toilet. A neoclassic old mirror is combined with a magnifying contemporary one.
Connectivity is excellent in this area. The location of this flat at only 3 minutes walk from Midi Station (train, tramway, bus, metro) is really convenient either for travelers (trains to London, Paris, Amsterdam, Airports (both) Brugge, Gent, etc) a well as for city visitors: the City Center (Gare Central), the EU District (direct trains to Shuman every 15 m) or the International Exhibition Center (Heysel metro station, direct line). There’s even a automatic bike rental station there !
Please feel free to contact me for any further questions or special inquiries. Me and Lucrezia hope to see you soon in Brussels !

Nicolas' friend Lucrezia is the one who we dealt with this entire trip, so quickly about Nicolas, he informed us how to get to the house and meet Lucrezia. We worked with Lucrezia directly for the rest of the trip. About Lucrezia, she was extremely welcoming and spent ample time providing us with directions and explaining how everything in the apartment worked.
The location of the apartment is perfect if using midi station, because its so close. Its also very close to all major attractions in brussels, so we walked everywhere.
The fridge was well stocked and so was the kitchen. We had a small dinner party one night and it was a huge success. The apartment as a whole was very clean. The bed was super comfortable. It was a little awkward to use the bathroom because it was only a curtain and not a door, but it fits with the very modern upcycled feel of the apartment.
We would recommend this apartment to all other airbnb users and we would stay here again!
A beautiful downstairs apartment very close to the Midi station.
Everything was as described, and the host so friendly and helpful.
Had a great stay.
Had a lovely long weekend and lucrezia made us welcome from arrival. We were given lots of tips and great places to visit, both centrally and out of the city. The apartment was nice and cool, spacious and clean. It's walking distance from the Eurostar which made things very easy. Would stay there again if visiting Brussels! Thank you!
We have stayed in quite a few AirBnBs but this one is very special, it is in a beautiful building, and they have made an amazing apartment that is warm, stylish and unique. Lucrezia met us and is an amazing host, a natural very informative, friendly and helpful. The location is also perfect.
The apartment fit exactly as the description and the pictures described the place. It was very spacious, open and it shows that Nicolas and Lucrezia have taken great care in designing and furnishing the place. Lucrezia received us at the apartment and she was very helpful in providing us with tips, information and the wealth of maps and books available for us to use.
We stayed five nights in this lovely little basement apartment and couldn't of been happier.
We found the place easily due to the great lead in communication. We were met by Lucrezia, who lives next door, and given a thorough and interesting run down on the apartment and Brussels itself. Such insight was very helpful and saved us time on our adventures.
The place itself is appointed beautifuly with a lot of recycled materials which really add to the charm and character.
Being only a short walk (3 mins) to Midi Station is a great bonus if you are exploring further afield.
