About this listing
A few step away from the international Midi Station, this apartment is within a « Maison de maître », a 19th century townhouse in Brussels.
As an innovative and experienced architect, the owner Lucrezia has renovated this one ground floor room and basement in a cozy and comfortable living place.
When entering at ground floor level you will find a bright multifunctional room (20 sqm). Original wooden floor (collrful pine), high ceiling, and two large double-glazed windows with electrical stores. This room is perfect for relaxing on the sofa or working. Within one minute, this room can also be turned up into an extra bedroom for two thanks to a good sofa bed.
Going down by a charming wooden staircase in oak you will find three other rooms in a row : the kitchen and dinning area, the main bedroom and the bathroom (altogether a further 50 sqm). A tiny terrace floods daylight into the bedroom and bathroom. Carra marble floors throughout
The built-in kitchen contains everything you need for small self catering : fridge, vitroceramic cooker, sink, and all kind of basic kitchen ware and utensils.
The bed has been carefully selected to be extra comfortable : good innerspring mattress and fluffy topper, completed with a 3-seasons duvet (adaptable thikness) and two kind of pillows to match perfectly your sleeping wishes.
The elegant marble and wood bathroom contains a large walk-in rain shower with white mosaic tiles, and an amazing design wooden bench/toilet. A neoclassic old mirror is combined with a magnifying contemporary one.
Connectivity is excellent in this area. The location of this flat at only 3 minutes walk from Midi Station (train, tramway, bus, metro) is really convenient either for travelers (trains to London, Paris, Amsterdam, Airports (both) Brugge, Gent, etc) a well as for city visitors: the City Center (Gare Central), the EU District (direct trains to Shuman every 15 m) or the International Exhibition Center (Heysel metro station, direct line). There’s even a automatic bike rental station there !
Please feel free to contact me for any further questions or special inquiries. Me and Lucrezia hope to see you soon in Brussels !

Staying is this beautiful apartment was exactly what we needed. Upon arriving our host gave up a map and talked to us for about 1/2 hour regarding the city's history, sites that are important to see and where the best restaurants are. Along with explaining everything in the apartment and that if we need everything how to get ahold of her.
The apartment itself is exactly how the pictures look. The tiles and shower door are reused from an old metro station and are beautiful. It was very hot while we were there so the basement was nice and cool. Perfect for sleeping.
Upon checkout, she was very flexible for whatever time worked with us. It was easy and affordable, if I ever return to Brussels I would definitely stay here again.
Nicolas' apartment is very clean and is an easy 5-minute walk from Midi station. It is exactly as it looks in the picture. He is easy to communicate with, and his friend Lucrezia was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our stay very much, thank you!
The apartment was in a great location and was really modern and funky. Lots of space, comfortable bed & sofa and just had a great vibe. I would say that the advert is slightly misleading - selling it as a whole apartment but in actual fact there is a lodger within a separate front door, but her front door is inside the lounge area. This meant that you didn't actually have the lounge area privately to yourself as she was able to walk through to leave the apartment. I was quite disappointed with this fact because I specifically wanted a whole apartment for privacy. The lodger was really nice and gave us local advice upon check in, as Nicolas wasn't available. The walk in shower was great and the toilet looked really cool, however the lid did keep closing on your back when you were on it! Wasn't a negative point though!
There was a hob to cook on & all crockery etc included, as well as coffee. The only extra in the kitchen I would have like would be an oven. Plenty of room for up to 4 people in my opinion. The only negative would be that we didn't have any towels and didn't find out until we left that they were actually supposed to be provided, as I had assumed, so we had to share one hand towel all weekend! I guess we should have asked though! Overall it was a great stay, I felt very safe and I am really glad that we stayed here. :)
Great location and room! Had a very nice stay. Lucrezia welcomed me late at night. Highly recommended.
