The Riverside Chalet is a serene, comfortable cabin on the banks of the Sandy River in a quiet neighborhood, just 1-hour drive from Portland. The chalet features an open floor plan, great for family and friends to enjoy each other's company while cooking & cozying up next to the fire. Visitors can enjoy an extended stay and work here in privacy. Its Scandinavian-inspired design includes vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, and a solarium, all built with a craftsman's touch.

The space
The Riverside Chalet has 2 floors, 1 full bathroom on each floor, and 3 private bedrooms each with a distinct feel, so each guest can choose according to their preference. There is also a full-sized sofa bed.

The chalet has a fully stocked kitchen, including all major appliances and a Kitchen Aid mixer (the kitchen is so beautiful - you'll want an excuse to spend a lot of time there). The living room has a fully functioning fire place. The entertainment room downstairs includes a projector and where you can stream movies and TV shows.

The outside surrounding the chalet has just as much to offer as the inside. The private hot tub fits 5 guests and features several different hydrotherapy experiences. There is a covered outdoor island with a grill, and outdoor eating and lounging areas, including a fire pit (subject to open fire bans in the summer).

The chalet is located on the Sandy River, so you can enjoy the river view from the balcony while you sip your morning coffee, and let its sounds lull you to sleep at night. There is a charming trail along the river that makes for a lovely stroll any time of day, and a great spot for picnics.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire house and property, except the garage. There is a private driveway for parking.

Located in the Timberline Rim neighborhood of Brightwood, OR, the Riverside Chalet is an easy 1-hour drive from Portland. The neighborhood is right off Highway 26 with roads that are plowed all throughout winter. It's conveniently located for skiing and snowboarding-- 20 miles from Timberline Lodge & 25 miles to Mt. Hood Meadows. The beautiful Salmon River Trail is 8 miles away and it's 15 miles to Trillium Lake, with countless other lovely trails nearby. The nearest grocery store is a 5-minute drive, along with dozens of restaurants, and a farmer's market in the summer.
