** The situation **
To Alexanderplatz (Mitte district, museums irland, shopping) it is only 5 minutes by tram and the water tower, famous Kollwitzplatz and culture brewery (Kulturbrauerei) is located just around the corner within 5 min walking distance.
From our door goes one of the main lines the tram M2 directly to Alexanderplatz. It runs 24 hours, at peak times it goes every 3 minutes and every 20 minutes at night. You can also walk to Alexanderplatz in about 10-15 min, it is 1.2 km.

The small guest room has 12 square meters and has two single beds which can be compiled into a double bed. In the room there is also a wardrobe and a mahogany table, eg to work or learning. A 3rd person is possible but it is very narrow (!)
Fresh bed linen and towels (1x large, 1x small) are included once and reduces the weight of your luggage.
** Who else is in the apartment? **
Your guest room is in a 4-room-apartment of 85 sqm on the 3rd floor with elevator. There are all in all 3 guest rooms in the apartment and my workplace. You can see the other guest rooms by clicking at my profile.
Myself I do live now in an other city district of Berlin, but I used to live 20 years in Prenzlauer Berg. I squatted an apartment in Februar 1990, that was between the time when the wall came down and before the reunion of east and west. If you want to know more about this time, just ask.

The MiFi is a perfect complement to your smartphone, iPod or tablet PC, because you can take it anywhere and have not only internet in the room, but also on your way though the city. You can connect up to 5 devices to the internet at the same time. But you should take controll about amount of the exchanged datas, otherwise it might get very expensive to you.

Gritta's cosy place met my expectations just perfectly, and Gritta is a very welcoming host, and everything is meticulously planned and set in advance, as one already notices from the listing ;) The door to the room can be locked with your key, a nice advantage. Cheers.
Kitty and I like our stay at gritta's apartment, it is new and has a lift. The location is also good, four stops using tram ride from alexander platz, we spent our day cycling to tiergarden and back, visiting the german parliament in the process. Gritta is very helpful and friendly, I would recommend her place to others.
The room was small, but very nice. We fit three with no problem. I must confess I missed the shared bathroom part of the description, but it wasn't much of a problem, plus the location is excellent, close to nice restaurants and super close to the tram so access to the city was super easy. Gritta was very welcoming, she really took her time to give us her local tips and those we managed to fit in our itinerary were actually very good! Great stay!
A bientôt Gritta
The room was small, but nice, very clean. Gritta is renting rooms professionally, so she knows how to maintain it. Gritta's office is located in the same apartment.
The stay was fine, I think, mainly because Gritta was on holidays during the same period I was staying. Otherwise it might have been stressful. I met her in the beginning of stay and when checking out. Checking-out experience was extremely unpleasant, because I had to leave for airport at 13:00, I thought I could stay till 12:00. 9:50 I met Gritta in the apartment and she asked me to leave at 10:00, I asked if I could ask for late check-out (12:00), she said no. I promised to leave immediately and I asked if I could leave my luggage in the apartment till 12:00 and I was told that there are public lockers in Alexanderplatz which I am welcome to use. Since Gritta was signing new contracts with new tenants in the tiny kitchen, I had no chance to have breakfast nor to take any of my products with me. I felt I had to leave the house as if it was on fire. I wouldn't like to deal with anyone so focused on just taking money from you again.
We want to be a bit more than just a cheap accommodation in a central location. We want you to have a good time in Berlin and to enjoy the city. We love to give tipps. I'm a big Berlin-lover and it is fun to me to share my knowledge about the city. As I have my little workplace inside of the apartment I'm here to help you during the day. But if I'm out - no worry - you can call me at any time or write me on airbnb. Just contact me and we try to make our best to fulfill your individual wishes - if it is possible.
We are very sorry that we could not agree to stay longer as booked. Regular check out is 10am. The next airbnb-guests were already waiting in the kitchen to see the room and to get the key as pre-arranged with them.
However thank you very much for your little present which is useful and very much appreciated.
