** The situation **
To Alexanderplatz (Mitte district, museums irland, shopping) it is only 5 minutes by tram and the water tower, famous Kollwitzplatz with market on Thursdays and Saturdays and culture brewery (Kulturbrauerei) is located just around the corner within 5 min walking distance.
From our door goes one of the main lines the tram M2 directly to Alexanderplatz. It runs 24 hours, at peak times it goes every 3 minutes and every 20 minutes at night. You can also walk to Alexanderplatz in about 10-15 min, it is 1.2 km.
** Your guest room **
The room is quiet located with windows facing to the bright courtyard.
YOUR SMALL guest room has 12 square meters and has two single upholstered beds which can be compiled into a double bed. In the room there is also a wardrobe and a small pull-out table, eg for work or learning.
Fresh bed linen and towels (1x large, 1x small per person) are included once and reduces the weight of your luggage.
We do not clean the your room during your stay. For your own and other guests comfort: Would you mind airing (windows + room door wide open) a couple of times a day for a view minutes? Thank you.
** Kitchen **
The kitchen is shared and can of course be used (microwave, stove, refrigerator, coffee maker, dishwasher, toaster, dishes, kettle). At the corner of our house is a cheap supermarket.
Please use the dishwasher for the used dishes. If you need to wash some thing via hand than please also dry and put it back in the shelves.
There's no self service laundry, but on request we can provide a fee-based laundry service Mon-Fri up to 7kg for 4 euros. Drying up to 3kg for 4 euros. In case the service is possible for any reason there is a laundromat in the Greifswalder Strasse.
** Shower **
The SMALL bathroom is SHARED has shower, sink and WC. It is directly across your room, just one single step.
Please leave the shared bathroom after each use in a condition that the next person also likes to use it (e.g. dry the floor if needed, remove toothpaste in sink, hair from shower).
** Who else is in the apartment? **
Your guest room is in a 4-room-apartment of 85 sqm on the 3rd floor with elevator. There are all in all 3 guest rooms in the apartment and my workplace. You can see the other guest rooms by clicking at my profile.
Myself I do live now in an other city district of Berlin, but I used to live 20 years in Prenzlauer Berg. I moved on 28th of Februar 1990 into Prenzlauer Berg, that was between the time when the wall came down and before the reunion of east and west. If you want to know more about this time, just ask.
** Useful things **
During your stay you can use for free our city maps, information on free sightseeing trips by public transport, Berlin books in different languages. There is also the current "tip" a Berlin city magazine with a current calendar of events for theater, concerts, parties, theater, etc. as trends and reports on film, art, culture and city life, as well as a television program.
You will find everything you need during your stay: Starting with the hair dryer, iron, umbrella or baby bed. Just ask if you need something.
** Internet **
Internet via WiFi in your room is included since 13 March 2015, But note: Filesharing, Illegal up- and downloads & child pornography are strictly forbidden in Germany! The Internet will only made available for you after you have signed a paper in which you assure not to do any illegal activities on the internet.
There is an internet cafe opposite our house for only 1 €/h, if you dont bring your own computer.
** Key **
Of course, you will get ONE set of keys (front door, apartment door, room door), so you can get in and out when ever you want during your stay. You can also look your room door inside of the apartment. If you have booked the room for you and one more guest than you need to make arrangements with each other in case you want to split up.
** Non smoking house **
The ENTIRE house and the inner courtyard is NON-SMOKING-zone. You can smoke IN FRONT of the house next to entrance to the garage. There is an ashtray and a roof.
** Late arrivals **
Extra charge for late arrivals: after 20:00: €15, after 22:00: €20, after 23:00: €25 and after 24:00: €30(URL HIDDEN)
** Parking your car or bicycle **
You can rent a bike from 7 € per 24hours near by. You can leave your bicycle in the enclosed courtyard and hook it up there.
Parking on the street in front of the house does cost 1 Euro per hour from Mon-Sat 9am-midnight. You can park your car for free 5 stops by streetcar or 20 min in walking distance from here.
You can also rent our underground parking inside of the house for 8 € per night (max. hight 1.5 m, length 4.8 m) if available.
Tipp: To enter the city you need a green sticker for the "low emission zone". Search for "Umweltplakette" to find out how to get a grenn sticker for tourists in advance.

Interaction with Guests
Are you a runner like me? Come join me on a run! I run for between 20 mins and 120 mins at a speed of between 5.5 mins/km to 8 mins/km. I took up running in November 2013. I ran a half marathon in 2:06 on 31 March 2015, and a marathon in 4:40 on 29 September 2015.
I'm training for my next marathon in September 2016.

ONCE YOUR BOOKING IS CONFIRMED, please send me details of your travel arrangements:
•1• How do you arrive? e.g. airplan (which airport?) train (which station), bus (which station), car...
•2• Scheduled time of arrival in Berlin
•3• Scheduled time of departure from accommodation
•4• First and last names of all guests
•5• Home address of the person who booked
•6• Mobile phone number for the arrival day
•8• Beds as double or as two single
We are not at the house all day, so it's good to know as closely as possible when you are arriving. This avoids wasting anybodys time by waiting.
Please keep your You ID-Card or passport ready at the arrival to show and to fill out the registration form.
Please respect our RULES DURING YOUR STAY:
• Do not disturb our (sensitive) neighbors and the other guests
• Non smoking area in the ENTIRE house, including at the windows and in patio/backyard
• Shoes off inside the apartment (slippers, socks are ok)
• Leave the shared bathroom after each use in a condition that the next person also likes to use it (e.g. dry the floor, remove toothpaste in sink, hair from shower)
• No filesharing, illegal up- and downloads or other illegal activities via Internet
• During heating season: If you have windows open, please turn off the heating. To avoid mold due to high humidity would you mind airing (windows + room door wide open) a couple of times a day for a view minutes? Oh, and please don't put anything on the heaters.
