We offer a home away from home..We enjoy opening our home to others, sharing great meals, talking about our travels, and dreaming of new destinations. Being a host is not just about offering a bed or a place to sleep. We truly want to create a relaxing, comfortable experience for you and we love sharing what we have with others. We offer a clean, cozy room. We are 10 minutes by car to downtown Seattle, and 6 minutes to SeaTac Airport. Our house is a restored 100 yr old farm house, with a large peaceful private yard, and a very nice view of the Puget Sound and The Olympic mountains. We are within 2 blocks of a nice forest, with walking trails, that lead to a public beach/seahurst park. The room comes with use of our gourmet kitchen and or back yard BBQ. We have two boys, ages 8 and 9. And we have seperate living quarters on second floor.

the only problem with our neighborhood is the closest restaurant ( 3 blocks away) is Jack in the box. If you want to experience a good restaurant you need to take a bus or drive ( 1 mile).
From my experience having a rental car is ideal, but you can take the bus to and from the airport (20 min.) or to and from downtown Seattle (30 min)
Other Things to Note
We allow our guests to use the kitchen.

My stay in Brian's house was very good! He is a wonderful host, he feed me and showed me nice places of Seattle :) The house is comfortable and beautiful, the atmosphere is like to be in the countryside even if it is in Seattle, and the see is very close by feet! And if you like dog Brian has a super lovely one!! I'm sorry I didn't have the chance to meet also Cecile and sons, they must be a very nice family!
Very positive experience, I had a great and relaxing time there (that was what I needed!). Thanks Brian!
House was very charming.
Brian is a great host. He was very welcoming and made sure we had @everything we needed.
He's a very bright guy and we had some great conversations.
Water there tastes amazing because it comes from an underground aquifer. Best tap water I have ever had in my life.

Brian and Cecile were absolutely lovely hosts (along with their two sons and dog). The drive from the airport was around 5-10 minutes, and I drove up to them eating dinner on their porch; I quickly felt at home. The room was clean, the bathroom was just a door over and I had my dinner while watching the sun set over the Puget Sound. In the morning I ate breakfast with Cecile. She offered me toast/coffee and we chatted about college and their upcoming trip to France. All in all, I felt so welcomed and part of the household for the short time I was there.
Celcile and Brian were fantastic, really friendly and welcoming. They have a gorgeous house which is really cosy and homely. I would definitely recommend staying with them, their family (including pets) are fab too. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Brian and Cecile were friendly and their place had a really great view. Unfortunately it was so hot when we visited (103 degrees outside) so no central AC meant the only way to get ventilation in our bedroom was by leaving the door open, with zero privacy. The internet also did not work the entire stay and the fold-out couch bed smelled a bit strange. This was our first traveling AirBnb experience and for the money I'd say get a hotel instead.
We have had 71 Five star reviews and only 1 negative review like the review Amy left us. My response to her review is the following.
1) She asked before she reserved our room if we had AC. I told her no.
2) Our wireless internet works and has never, ever not worked, I assume she logged in wrong. She mentioned once that she was having an issue getting online, we assumed it was resolved, and she never mentioned the problem again.
3) We had a small 4th of July party where one of our guests changed her shorts ( not underwear) outside in front of everyone including Amy's Boyfriend, Luke. She got all upset, but Luke seemed more embarrassed by Amy's overreaction to a complete harmless act of someone changing cloths. For her to twist the facts and still be upset for no real reason, I'm not sure what more to say on this matter, other than, GOOD LUCK LUKE.
4) Amy obviously belongs in a 5 Star hotel, she is not your typical AirBNB Host.
5) I gave her a good review, because her boyfriend Luke was a nice guy, and I felt sorry for him.
About the Host, Brian And Cecile
Our names are Brian and Cecile . We have two boys, ages 10 and 12, a dog and 2 cats.
Our home is bilingual, English / French, and conveniently located 5 minutes from the airport (without the airplane noise!). Brian is a native of the Pacific Northwest, and Cecile is a native of France.
We try to live as simple as possible and find that "balance" in our home and life.
We enjoy living near Seattle, but having a home that feels like you are in the country. We enjoy the arts, food and music. We have a large landscaped yard with herb, vegetable gardens, and a small orchard and pinot noir vineyard. We love being able to grow and cook food straight from our garden. We have always enjoyed the art of cooking and taking time to be able to really enjoy a meal. We try to support our local farmers market, rather than the supermarkets. Nearby farmers markets are in Burien on Thursdays and West Seattle on Sundays. We also love trying out new and unusual restaurants, so we know quite a few good ones we can direct you to.
We enjoy taking road trips exploring the backroads of the Northwest, by driving and biking. And we travel to France every year to spend time with family and friends.
We enjoy sharing our home with people we have never met. The experience we gain and learn from by meeting new and interesting people from all over the world, is rewarding to us. So far, our experiences we've had with Airbnb have been positive. And we hope to use Airbnb in our own travels.
Please feel free to ask any questions.
