About this listing

Our home is very cosy and homy. Once inside, you feel protected from the hustle and bustle of Paris.

The space

Come and spend relaxing Parisian moments in a beautiful and comfortable 3 bedroom duplex apartment in an original house located in magical settings (former convent in a cobble-stoned street creating a village style atmosphere in the trendy area of the 20th arrondissement, nearby the Père Lachaise cemetery).

Ideal for 1 or 2 families (as the children's room can fit up to 4 kids or teenagers), this very quiet and large apartment (2 levels of 70 square meters each) also has a in-door terrace opening onto a secured balcony (with a table & chairs making it possible to enjoy the fresh air) overlooking the garden & paved courtyard shared with the other families living opposite. There are many outdoor games (such as football, golf, badminton...) and facilities (picnic mat, sun chair...) made available to guests.

When you enter the apartment, you will discover a very large double living/dining room area and a design bar separating the semi-open fully-equipped modern kitchen (dish washer, micro-wave & traditional ovens, kettle, toaster, large fridge & freezer...).
The cosy atmosphere of this main room is enhanced by the wooden beams & floors as well as by the homey decor surrounding a protected fire place.

On the same level, a small corridor (with many cupboards and a laundry area with washing machine & dryer) leads to one of the 3 bedrooms. This one has its own en-suite bathroom with 2 washbasins. The toilets are separate.

On the first floor, enjoy the full comfort of 2 other bedrooms:
- 1 with a large double bed and flat screen TV with USB & HDMI ports + DVD/Dvix player,
- the other one with a large double bed and 2 single beds.
There are also 2 other bathrooms (1 with bath & toilet and 1 with a large shower) and a cosy office/library space (with large band internet, wifi, and elliptical indoor bike for adult use only).

This completely charming and unique duplex, situated in a rare pedestrian village area of East Paris, is located just round the corner from the very "in" Mama Shelter hotel/bar/restaurant (prior bookings highly recommended!) & La Flèche d'Or, which is one of the most hype concert places of Paris.

Many shops, restaurants, supermarkets, theaters & cinemas nearby and less than 20 minutes away from the heart of Paris (Nôtre Dame, Hôtel de Ville, Centre Pompidou Modern Art Museum) or other well-known sites such as Montmartre, Eiffel Tour, Champs Elysées, Bastille... thanks to 5 different very close bus routes (n°26 or 57 & 64 or 76, as well as the ring-road tram whic can take you to La Villette & La Geode & 3 different metro lines (see below).

Guest access

The rental concerns the whole of the house, entirely privatised.

Interaction with guests

I remain available via phone, , text or email, whatssap, iMessage, FaceTime... at any time before or during your stay for any questions you may have.

Our stay in Paris was made so much better because of Stéphanie and her house. It was perfect for 8 of us (4 adults and 4 kids) during our week-long stay. While it is not in central Paris, it is in an ideal location that is close to metros in a wonderful, quiet, Parisian neighborhood. Lots of grocery stores, boulangeries, and restaurants close by in a non-touristy area. The house felt very safe for the kids and we had no reservations about allowing them to play in the private, shared courtyard without us watching them. The neighbor's kids are all very friendly! The two bathrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs) were ideal and there is lots of space in the living room to hang out. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything that we needed. All the amenities in the house are great and the decor is beautiful. We truly felt at home. Stéphanie communicated everything very well with us before we arrived, showed us around the house when we got there, and made herself available if we had any questions. She was very thoughtful and even went out of her way one evening to help us out when we were on a hunt for a stroller to use during our stay. Should we every come back to visit Paris, we would not hesitate to book this place again. Thank you, Stéphanie!

If you want to be within Paris but have a village feeling, this is a great place to stay at. Stephanie was very helpful and her house had everything we needed. It's not dead central paris but transports are very nearby. Woke up to the sound of singing birds... I loved it!

We had a lovely stay at Stephanie's home. We were 7 friends who were in Paris for a weekend. The house is beautiful! It is a spacious converted convent with beautiful feature beams and a lovely balcony. There are 3 rooms (2 doubles, 1 is en suite, and a 3rd bedroom which has a double bed and two single beds). This is an ideal place to stay for a family or close friends. The house is in a safe and diverse neighbourhood, with lots of lovely restaurants, bars and shops nearby. We only had breakfast in the house, as we were exploring Paris for the rest of the time. But the house is fully equipped if you plan to cook there. Unfortunately I didn't get to meet Stephanie in person, but she was excellent in communicating with us before our arrival (including giving us helpful tips of how to get there from Gare du Nord). I highly recommend staying at Stephanie's if you are looking for a quiet oasis in the east of Paris for a family or close friends!

Thanks again for letting us stay at your apartment. Good price value offer you have there. Apartment is nicely located and within 30 min to 1 h your can reach even the outskirts of Paris. Everything was nicely decorated and clean. The hot water is enough for a whole group of 6 to 8 people. Only troubles we had were that the downstairs bed is quite hard and sadly enough some neighbors where having a very loud party with open windows on Saturday evening even after midnight.

Response from Stéphanie:
Good to know about the new double bed in the downstairs bedroom, I will definitely look into a solution to make it more comfortable. Thanks Angelique and sorry about the neighbors: I was not informed...

Stéphanie has a fantastic duplex flat in a great area of Paris. The flat is lovely, comfortable and really well equipped. We were a group of six (not all couples) and the flat was more than adequate for us. The locale around the place is great with many great bars, restaurants and shops. Public transport makes it easy to get into central Paris. Stéphanie has a thorough local guide and everything inside her place is explained clearly. Thoroughly recommended and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

A group of 6 of us celebrated our friends 40th birthday in Paris and we stayed here. Stephanie the owner sent us so much information about how to get there, the area, restaurant s and bars and the house. We were able to book a restaurant in advance and due to her info we were able to get from the gare du nord to the house with complete ease. We took the bus there and ended up using it all over Paris as it was so easy to use. The area is great! You are in Paris but feel like you are also in a little French town. There are bars and restaurants nearby ( door step in fact). It was quite noisy but we were there when there was a fete on so it was to be expected and didn't bother us. The house is lovely. It's beautifully decorated. We had fresh bedding and towels. There was more than enough space for 6 of us. It was lovely to come back to after being in busy central Paris. It does take about 45 mins on the bus from the centre but the bus enables you to see Paris over ground which is really interesting. I would highly recommend this place. Thank you Stephanie.
