We stayed here for 3 nights, and found the location great. We had a car and could access the city and other locations easily.
The food recommendations that Sharon left were also great. Loved The Diner and Buffs Pub.
The bed is small! And not great for two adults for 3 nights. I think it's a fouton.
Great washing machine and drier.
The floors needed vacuuming, we may have been more conscious of this as our son would play and eat sitting on the mat.
Sharon was a great host - The space was lovely and in a great neighbourhood which was really easy to reach the city center from.
Thanks so much, Sharon!
The home was as described, and Sharon, the host, provided very clear and friendly instructions. It provided a convenient space for us to stay while in town over the weekend. It's spacious, private, quiet, close to the pike, and there is parking and air conditioning. There is no real table or desk to sit at, however, and the bed is a smallish futon. Cleanliness was acceptable.
My girlfriend and I stayed at Sharon's place for the weekend and had an AMAZING time! We are Yankees fans who wanted to spend our anniversary catching a Yanks-Sox game at Fenway and exploring the city, and booking with Sharon made this possible on a relative whim a mere few weeks before our stay. The accommodations were spacious and filled with plenty of natural light which made it beautiful. The bus stop for the ballpark was also a block away which made transportation super easy. Sharon also helped me out by accepting a flower delivery on my behalf to surprise my lady, and I can't thank her enough for helping me out with that! A great place and a great host, thanks again!
Sharon was very helpful & responded to all our questions very promptly. Weeks before we arrived she had provided me with heaps of information in regards to transportation in the area. Additionally she has a folder with all the hints in tips for public transport, restaurants in the area & how everything operations in the house.
We stayed the 3 days leading up to the marathon, thus getting accommodation in the city was impossible. We would not normally stay out of the city (not having our own transport) but I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the bus service was from Newton, & the house is only 2mins to the bus stop!
The house itself is a barn conversion & has heaps of charm. The upstairs bedroom area is HUGE but the stairs themselves are steep, probably not the best for anyone elderly or with knee etc issues. There is a washer & dryer for use in the property which work fabulously for anyone traveling for any length of time as we have been.
The only negative we have is the bed. It's tiny & very hard. It was so small my other half couldn't even fit in the bed. Luckily we found a spare mattress that we threw on the floor & it was softer than the bed.
Overly we had a great stay in Boston.
Merci!
It was a great location to the city of Boston, roughly a 15 minute drive in. Cambridge was even less than a 10 minute drive. It was cozy and a very great place to stay.
Although we never met Sharon, I enjoyed her organized instructions for local shops, heating, and check in/out. I greatly appreciate her courtesy of privacy.
The barn itself was well heated and provided a comfortable stay.
